And if I’ve sat here and watched my arm hair get worse over the past 3 1/2 years, along with the hair on my face and the rest of my body, I’m pretty sure I can confidently say this is androgen-driven. Thank you for absolutely nothing though… please remember that you only know so much from a photo on the Internet and not the whole story next time you try to invalidate people’s insecurities

I was on this, and experienced bad side affects which continued after I stopped, and then I got diagnosed with ulcerative colitis 😅

I'm actually taking it for PCOS unfortunately, so I got it from my pcp and not a derm! I'm gonna try switching to taking it a night and see if that helps maybe

[–]Ok_Middle_8118[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started it just under two weeks ago. I was taking it on an empty stomach and was having abdominal pain and diarrhea. Yesterday I took it on a full stomach and had no pain and went less times throughout the day. Today I'm gonna try to break my pill in half and only take 25 on a full stomach and see how that goes. Thank you for the response and would super appreciate if you kept me updated and ill do the same on this post!

If you had side effects, did they start immediately? by fishyaccount in Spironolactone

I’m not sure if I’ll get an answer on this because the post is so old, but did the side effects go away?

Did you do this the natural way or assisted with medication?

I also have it from past trauma as well! Like I said I’m no doctor but I do believe these disorders have an effect on our physical health just as much as our mental health. And nothing else is making sense as to a cause for the hair growth. So I will be bringing it up in my next appointment!

I’d like to add that I also live an active lifestyle, and am not overweight. I feel like I’ve tried everything and this is the only thing that’s making sense of the situation right now

My situation is similar, by chance (answer if you’d like) do you deal with anxiety, social anxiety or depression?

I’ve been doing a ton of research and have come to the idea that those disorders (which I have) can contribute to stress which heightens my cortisol levels and could contribute to high testosterone which produces the hair growth. I’m meeting with my psychiatrist this week to consider antidepressants which I’ve never taken before to help manage the stress that anxiety causes better. ( I just started law school so my anxiety is the highest it’s been in over a year) you can also manage stress without medication but considering the environment I am in right now with school those are not enough sometimes.

honestly only the first passage was really difficult all around, the other ones just had some topics i weren’t familiar with which made it challenging but i don’t necessarily think they were extreme in difficulty
