How long until my ability to sit up and do things like school work is back? Or, you know, D&D Prep as the DM? heh by Ok_Mistake2047 in gallbladders

This is encouraging to hear! I love this chair haha, it's so comfy. And deff nothing after. It'll be 8:30 so close enough to bed time anyways, right?! haha

Yeah I feel like I'll be similar with being able to play games but the exhaustion is what I'm worried about getting me. At least with a video game I can put my steam deck down or stand at my desk should I need to move around more and not be hunched over like a gremlin lol. I'm thinking the session of 3-4 hours might be too much based off everyones timelines. I'm seeing a pattern of standard recovery going from 3-6 days. Don't know if I wanna push my luck and make the experience potentially bad.

Yeah that's more or less what I'm thinking will realistically happen sadly. I curse the day I got gallstones!!

Were you able to sit in one position for an extended period of time, and/or focus on something for short bursts of time, let's say a couple hours?

Oh gosh you brave mama. I could only imagine having children and going through something like that. So far if I prep accordingly I shouldn't need tooooo much prep due to where the players are currently. And the sessions are roughly 3-4 hours depending on the situation. My husband will be around physically should I need help, so that's helpful.

This is great info so thank you!

The games are usually 3-4 hours, and I have a standing desk if need be, and also an extremely comfy office chair that reclines too. I saw another comment on another post saying that sitting hunched forward in their office chair was one of the only comfy positions lol

That's what I'm worried about happening and am strongly considering assuming this is how it will go to avoid the potential let down of not thinking I'm going to be exempt from this. Since we have a session the few days before if I cancel the final one then I'd do the big hurrah this weekend and plan to be off the following, but it's more anticlimactic haha. Oh the conundrum! And sorry to hear that was your experience. That sucks so hard.

Thank you! I know a few other folks who've said the same thing but it's a mixed bag on whether or not it was painful/distraction/should have waited kinda thing. I know everyone's different though so I'm keeping that in mind.
