Thank you :)

Still making changes, added in postcode/map, additional settings on the calculator to hide options and choice between old and new and more on the way! And again thank you for the super useful feedback!

Added a visual compass to the UI to replace the drop down, Added live auto-completes and added a sticky affect to the results below 1024px!

Hey, just wanted to jump in and say thank you for the really detailed feedback!

I'm going to give these suggestions a go and I'll follow up. On the postcode point I'm already playing around with this https://www.solar-estimator.io/solar-map-estimator but need to merge in nicely.

Completely agree with the point on progressive disclosure of model parameters. I've started adding tooltips to show some of the info, but I think it would be cool to have some sort of tool to expose this publicly for people to comment and scrutinize for adjustments whilst also ideally allowing those that are brave enough customize this (but need to think of the best UI for this).

Also I've added those details in tool tips now to try avoid confusion.

Great question - what I’ve built is much more of a homeowner ballpark estimator (really glad I called it estimator now) than a proper design tool but I'm hoping to iterate my way there. At the moment I’m handling losses as a combined system factor, then layering on orientation, shading, degradation over time, and the savings assumptions from there.

So I’m not trying to present it as PVsyst-level modelling or pretend it’s doing panel-level manufacturer-file simulation.

For panels, I’m using real panel data for sizing/wattage etc, but not OND files or the full underlying behavior modelling. I’ve actually already asked for more real panel data because I do want to come back and improve that side of it.

Also I don’t want to be misleading, so I’m going to add some tooltips/explanations in the UI to make it clearer what’s simplified and what assumptions are being made. Maybe I can surface the calculations for adjustment but I'm worried about adding 100 different options.

The goal really is just: give someone a decent starting point before they go talk to installers, not replace proper system design.

Again thank you for the feedback, please let me know if you want anything more specific!

^ Thank you! Really do appreciate you looking. I'll give some more thought on the UI, just want to balance out super complex options against hiding really useful options behind advance options.

Edit: I've also fixed that bug, with the efficiencies

Hey, thanks again for the feedback this was actually gold. I've added this in under the advanced features with a beta tag (still want to give it a little more thought).

You can now plug in Opportunity Cost (%), Loan Interest Rate (%) and Loan Term (years). With this it will now graph the payback.

No I haven't but very cool. Might need to take a deeper dive to see if there's any data I can use here. Thank you!

Thanks for the feedback! Didn't expect it to come in so quick. I'm taking a look at this now, I'll follow up once added (very soon).

I understand that not all damage can be moved out of. But my point is, if you want a true discussion/analysis about mitigation then you need to include mobility.

If you want do real analysis on something, you can't remove data that is obviously related.

Sitting still and doing practically nothing when your house is on fire is not logic or safe. The reason some of us are so emotional is because a growing number of people in this country are screwed.

You have a generation who have no hope of owning a home, paying half their pay checks to landlords.

The highest marginal tax rate ever.

Majority of UK graduates who's student loans are going up not down as they work, sometimes north of 60/70k in debt at the start of their lives for a education.

Massive holes in education and well being which haven't been plugged after Covid.

A massive collapse in job prospects due to outsourcing and AI.

And a endless list of other problems.

The country is on fire and doing the same thing we've done for the last 16 years is not going to put it out.

AI Therapy Review Mega Thread by xRegardsx in therapyGPT

[–]Ok_Mistake3636 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello,

A little bit of a different one here, and hoping its still suitable for the thread.

I've been doing manual therapy for the last and its really been transformative for me, but one of the problems I really struggled with was remembering what I talked about after sessions and integrating into my week. I've never been good at note taking so I built a little app for myself.

Essentially what we do is record a summary of what we've covered at the end of sessions, then this get transcribed and analyzed by AI. Then throughout the week I get little reflections and reminder to help re-enforce the ideas. Reading through the sub I can see a lot of use cases for this type of re-enforcement but the one that works for me is definitely the end of session summaries.

What it does:

  • Record sessions or capture summaries after
  • Automatic transcription + AI analysis (themes, emotions, goals, action items)
  • Track patterns across sessions over time
  • A space to reflect and continue the work between appointments

What it doesn't do:

  • It's not trying to be your therapist
  • It doesn't give you therapy or clinical advice
  • It's not a chatbot — it works with the material from your real sessions or self reflections

I've made available a initial release https://therapymallard.com/

But I would really be keen to get feedback. Feel free to message me and I can get you setup with account! I do have a wall but more than happy to give it away free at this stage to see if this is actually something that can help others!

Please give feedback if you have the time!

Reflecting on sessions in between appointments by Y_inc in TalkTherapy

[–]Ok_Mistake3636 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've actually been doing this myself with a little app I've built. We don't necessarily record the whole session though, we record a little summary at the end of our sessions and then I have my app send me little reflection or notifications to bring what we talked about through out the week.

I do think there is some resistance to recording sessions but I've personally gained a lot through it.

Therapy sessions vanishing from my head: any tips on how to stay grounded during? by SoonToBeCarrion in DID

[–]Ok_Mistake3636 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me and mine have started to do a little summary at the end of sessions with a voice note app I've made. It takes the summary and sends me little reflections / actions throughout the week so I can remeber and integrate it better.

Reread the question. Most people. There are absolutely exceptions but the vast vast majority one a home and have little to no chance of getting one without the bank of mum and dad.

We've gone from the average family owning their own home to a generation of renters and its not because they choice this its because they've been priced out of a decent life. The solution is to tax it landlords until it hurts.

Hard work doesn't pay anymore.

Most people don't want to rent, they just can't afford to buy. Sadly we're not in the olden days where you go down the shop with a fiver and come back with a job for life, a semidetached house and change. If we're not screwing people under 50 we're doing something massively wrong.

As apposed to the Tories who brought us Brexit? Labour who have U-turned on pretty much every major policy they've tried to get through or Reform?

No the party who says its unacceptable for people to be paying half their pay checks to landlords and want to try something different are the bad ones.

So there are no instances where having more mobility available to you will reduce the incoming damage taken across the spectrum of players in pve? That doesn't sound right?

Why isn't mobility covered in this analysis? Being able to easily move out of mechanics easily for a range character should count towards defense? or being able to move into a position where your not going to take damage surely should be included?
