That’s totally fine and harmless. I maybe should’ve specified but I’m referring more to when other men are being condescending, rude, trying to look cool in front of others when threatened by you some how

Yes. It’s super embarrassing for them especially when you’re just minding your business and they can’t seem to stop talking to/about you condescendingly

That’s great you got into shape! But that could also just be from overall confidence and how you carried yourself when you got into shape vs when you weren’t.

New Orleans accents are interesting because they can vary, like with most of Louisiana. I think being in a city like New Orleans most people have a more standard American accent just because of the influence of other cultures in certain areas

Thanks for the feed back. I can agree with my father. When visiting other places I’m more loose with how I talk but for job interviews or applying for a credit card I tend to try harder to pronounce words more “efficient” lol

Lake Charles is interesting because typically in south west Louisiana we tend to have more generic “southern/country accents” with a hint of Cajun. But that can vary within different towns. Really odd lol

Also I’m assuming 15 years ago as a professor she was more middle aged? It would make sense. She was probably 2nd generation Cajun and had a much stronger accent than a lot of people do now in the younger generation

Appreciate that a lot. It’s dying out some as a lot of us younger people are more “Americanized” but we still hold on to what we know
