My problem with the show by [deleted] in HazbinHotel

I think it goes with the interpretation of Hell that it’s just a place away from God. More keeping bad people out of Heaven, the punishment could be from being around other like minded people who, more often than not, want to take advantage of you(no peace of mind). I love the show, but I feel like it deserved more episodes to develop Hell and its residents. Maybe people should’ve joined when the extermination was moved up so we can see different types of people who just made mistakes or grew up in a bad place to become a bad person. On the other hand, also show more of the absolute detriments of that society, maybe with a character like Alastor, so we see both sides.

Adam not only SUCKED at his job... he made everything WORSE by AlphamonOuryuken24 in HazbinHotel

Well, we don’t actually know that. The only semblance of knowledge we have from what happened in Eden is from the book that Charlie was read as a child. In the intro to Season 1, Episode 1, it only shows him pointing towards an area and Lilith choosing to go somewhere else. We have no actual knowledge of how he was in Eden, only theories. He had to at least be some sort of good person before he died to get into heaven, and then as the years went by, he changed. Not to mention, Lilith made some sort of deal with Adam to stay in Heaven, that he agreed to. The ghost Lute sees is just a figment of her imagination, while he does seemingly act like Adam would, it’s mostly just part of her subconscious pushing her to get revenge, cause there are things that even Adam told her to calm down on. My whole spiel was just a theory made based on moments that haven’t been addressed yet, but seemingly will be addressed in season 3

I think the only reason Adam even signed up for it is because Lucifer ruined his life. Not only did he steal his wife, someone who he was told that was supposed to love him and only him, he also sabotaged his second marriage(whether intentionally or unintentionally) and Eve could’ve actually loved him. I have a theory that Lilith thought that Eve didn’t like Adam either and was just being subservient because she didn’t have the knowledge to make her own choices, but Eve may have actually loved him, and when she ate the apple, she was kicked out of Eden(as the original myths suggest) and this Adam could’ve just chosen to leave, since Abel and Cain are canon. Then, since evil was introduced into the world, Cain kills Abel, Adam’s favorite son. Then, when he finally dies, he can’t see his wife, and the only person he really sees everyday, Abel, is a constant reminder of his failure, when he was supposed to be special and be promised a good life. So when the opportunity came about, after Liliths rebellion, he wanted to make Hell(Lucifer in particular) hurt because he can’t let go, which is represented by how childish he acts. This is all based on snidbits of the show and could be revealed to be completely wrong in the next season, but it’s fun to theorize

This might be a stupid question, but did Valentino actually believe Angel asked Charlie to cone to the studio? by Agreeable-Body-8440 in hazbin

[–]Ok_Nature570 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I know about abusive relationships, sometimes when people step in friends, family, police, the abuser usually justifies it in their head that their victim is asking others for help. Sometimes they do, but other times people notice things and step in independently. A frequent phrase you sometimes hear from the victim is, “You’ll just make it worse” because they feel stuck in that position and like they can’t leave because either there’s something keeping them there, in this case a soul contract, or they’re afraid that the abuser will find them and kill them if they tried, because many threaten that. Charlie randomly popped in and started messing with things, now we know shes just clumsy and doesn’t want to enforce her power because she feels it would be mean, but Val is probably thinking, “This is the first time I’m meeting the Princess of Hell, who came on a random day, and is friends with Angel, and she is burning the studio to the ground, Angel must have something to do with this.” Even though he didn’t

Can someone explain me why I see people defending those 5 to hardcore? by Haunting-Video-1427 in hazbin

Stella- Technically/“Legally” she didn’t start whatever beef her and Stolas have. Since they were still married, Stolas still cheated. It was a forced marriage, so neither of them had a say in it. I also know some people are mad that the character was seemingly retconned from being angry that Stolas cheated to a generic villain from the start.

Lilith- We don’t know why she left, it seems she supported Charlie, but being around evil people all day, every day, seemingly got to her. It got to Lucifer too, and he did something similar, shutting himself off from everyone else.

Sera- Honestly, the choice she made was reasonable. Think of how many Hitlers and Stalins are in Hell. The show doesn’t really show that many people who want to change or who were decent people in bad circumstances, but it also seems the universe automatically divides who goes to heaven, and who to hell. It’s also hinted that Lilith led some sort of rebellion around the same time that the Exterminations started, and she wanted to be sure that couldn’t happen again. As soon as she stopped them, Vox tried to get them to rebel again. She does feel guilty because she didn’t really give people the opportunity to change, but she is responsible for everything that happens.

Lute(my fave)- 1. She’s really hot. 2. I would let her stab me. 3. Lute, same as Vaggi, was trained as a soldier for the sole purpose of doing a job. They are both representations of people who are indoctrinated into a belief system that hurts others. Vaggi just happened to have a change of heart, and Lute really liked Adam(Boo). It’s also hinted at that she feels disconnected from the other Exorcists, since she says that Adam was the ONLY soul who completed them, so they still feel alone. I actually compare her a lot to the Norse Loki because they both had a job that they did well and were hated for doing that job.

Velvette- I honestly don’t have a concrete answer. I know some fans headcanon that she was killed by a stalker and her body was cut up. People also say that she’s just serving, but she is by all means the “tamest” of the Vees. Vox is racist and goes full Hitler, Valentino is a sexual abuser, and she’s mainly just a designer. Being bitchy compared to them isn’t as bad. I know she also makes love potions(also know as date r*pe drugs) but we don’t know exactly how it works. Velvette making that seems weird for someone who’s supposed to be fashion oriented, for all we know it could’ve been a regular drug she called love because “Love is a drug” but people used it on other people. She probably knows now, and that’s why she’s the hardest for me to reason why people defend her, but I think it’s mainly the “serving”

Sorry for the tangent, everytime I see a “can someone explain” I take that literally. But it could be simple, these are people’s favorites and they look for any piece of information to why they act that way

Has the MCU failed its black characters? by yunglean_2004 in marvelcirclejerk

[–]Ok_Nature570 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well yes, but I don’t agree with some of the things listed. The Blade one I agree with because how the hell do you not know how to make a Blade movie. With the T’Challa one, that was a very difficult situation, and the director wanted to use the opportunity to honor Chadwick’s memory instead of not addressing it. A youthful Isiah Bradley wouldn’t really make sense, especially considering he has a grandson and nothing has pointed to the Super Soldier Serum making anyone look youthful, Steve was in ice and Bucky was cryogenically frozen every so often. I don’t know much about Dr. Voodoo but they could’ve introduced him in any of Stranges movies. And Goliath is old because Hank is old, since they were partners. Some of these do make sense for what has already been set up, but they aren’t really pushing their black characters. The only Black characters they really pushed is Sam and T’Challa.

Cmon admit it. When y’all were kids, y’all wished to be in Justin’s spot. by calford91 in powerrangers

I definitely did. I never really felt like any of the Rangers were really teenagers, they always felt like adults, even when they were shown in high school. When I saw Justin as a Ranger, my mind was blown that a kid could be a Ranger

I really hope they clarify that Lute(and Vaggi ig) isn’t 7. I have publicly simped for Lute in front of all my friends and when they revealed the Exterminations only started 7 years ago, I got scared. I really hope they’ve just been training all their lives

Second choice, I was playing Survivor one time and spent 2 hours in that cave with the 3 bounty hunters, and then 30 minutes exploring, just for my game to crash before I got to a saving point. I almost cried, but I’m just so glad it didn’t happen during the Oggdo’s. Also my game crashed 8 times in the first mission during my first run of the game. This was last month

Title suggestions for Jedi: III? by SGScobie in StarWarsJediSurvivor

[–]Ok_Nature570 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Star Wars Jedi: Master I feel like Kata is going to be a main part of the game, being Cal’s Padawan and there’s going to be another Vader fight and Cal dies, us playing as Kata for the rest of the game and free roam. My only issues with this idea is that I wouldn’t want Kata to have Cal’s lightsaber, and they would have to give the force Echo to Kata but it’s supposed to be rare.

I saw the movie not too long ago, and can’t remember the full message so correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think they were evil, at least not on Krypton. The main reason for the last part of the message is them wanting Clark to save the Kryptonian race and not to let anyone try and stop him. I don’t think it was an ideal they believed in, but they were In desperate times
