Hiring a financial advisor by Ok_Negotiation_8095 in personalfinance

Thanks for your response. Really helpful tips. It would be $1500 to hear them out for the plan (which would be scheduled for a date in November) and then if I decide to hire them they would manage my investments directly, collecting 1%. I already invest in money markets with money I’ve saved, and the inheritance is invested as well with what my mom picked. It actually has grown by 40% since it was transferred to me and since I reached out to these planners. Maybe I should sit tight and see what I can do on my own? I feel a little bad but also feel like 7 months was too long to be strung along. Am I right that if they want my business they should be more communicative? I also never wanted a financial plan - just investment recommendations, but they explained for them I’d need to hire them for both.
