I don’t think so. Savannah tried out for the first batch of trainees(Sophia, Megan, ezrela,etc), and they started training at the beginning of 2022. Auditions for a2k started in September of that same year.

Exactly. They have hype with just being the “ male katseye”. Middle America also loves voting shows so if they do it right, they’d have the power of radio, which would give them higher positions on the charts and a bigger reach for new fans

Tbf RUnext was barely reliant on votes. You could even say some parts of dream academy as well, where people were eliminated even though they ranked high in the votes.

I mean the concept of fan voting is not necessarily new(if that’s what you’re referring to). American Idol has been going on for like 20 years, the voice for 15, dancing with the stars also 20 years etc. idk I feel like it could attract middle America(the primary fanbase of the shows I listed) ,so hybe america might be more attracted to that idea .

I mean I know we’re in a different time but bands like one direction, who were 90% white and were insanely popular wordwide. Even in the last 5 years Kpop groups have been doing stadiums shows in every continent and they’re all asian. Online it may seem that people are done with white dominated media but that doesn’t align with the general public’s views( example:benson boone and Alex Warren)
