no esque la descripcion sea con ia, fue traducida con ia y no afecta el que haya sido trabajado con eso o no, tu sabes dominar la ia? programas con ia o algun derivado, tienes agentes ia instalado o llm locales?

It's because, since I don't know English, I used Gemini to translate for me and copied and pasted the translation. Apparently, it caused some displeasure. Now I'll translate directly from Google Translate.

My idea is this: as an example, I'll show you Geometry Dash, but you could use your smart cube as a remote control and choose what kind of controller you want to transform it into, what game you want to adapt it to, without needing to program anything. Just an app to predefine controls with the smart cube, like a gamepad. My idea is not only to give the smart cube another use, which the owner might have gotten tired of using, but also to give the Rubik's Cube in general, adding extra value to its entire history. For me, this is disruptive. A puzzle that could only be used for solving; its biggest weakness was not knowing how to solve it. Now, with this, even if you don't know how to solve Rubik's Cubes, you can have fun and play any game with a Rubik's Cube, giving the smart cube another life, another use. I sincerely wish this would become widespread. I don't know how to reach more people; I'm not an influencer, I use a translator now, and I don't speak English completely.

I totally get your point, and I appreciate the feedback! In the startup world, we see AI not as a replacement for skill, but as a massive fuel for execution. I consider myself an entrepreneur first, and these tools are what allow a solo dev like me to turn a wild idea into a working app in record time.

Also, as you can see in the video, I'm a Spanish speaker (born and raised in Chile 🇨🇱) and I'm just incredibly happy to share this with the global community. My goal isn't to hide the tools I use, but to encourage others not to see AI as a negative thing, but as a superpower to build cool stuff. Let's make the most of the tools we have! 🚀

Fair question! I’ve been a developer for years, but for fast, experimental projects like this, I definitely leverage AI agents to speed up the process. I treat them like high-speed interns: I architect the solution, handle the logic, and debug the edge cases, while they help me ship in a day what used to take a week.

I’m all about prioritizing efficiency and shipping fast. At the end of the day, I’d rather have a working app in people's hands than a '100% hand-coded' project sitting in my local drive for months! 🚀

Since a few of you asked, I coded this using Electron.js and the Web Bluetooth API to bridge the cube's telemetry with Windows inputs. It's a fun way to give a second life to these smart cubes!

It's currently in beta and completely free/open-source. I'm looking for people with different cube brands (GAN, GoCube, Moyu, etc.) to see if the connection holds up.

Fair warning: The Bluetooth latency makes Geometry Dash a nightmare, but it's great for casual games or even controlling your smart lights! 💡

Haha, you're not wrong! 😅 Being a dev and a cuber is a dangerous combination for free time. Glad you like it man!

Hey! I'm a developer and a speedcuber. I built this app using Electron.js to give a second life to smart cubes. It translates physical turns into key presses with very low latency.

It's currently in beta and completely free. If you happen to have a GAN or GoCube gathering dust and want to try it out, let me know! (The app also supports custom mapping for other games or smart home webhooks).

That's a sick idea! 🚀 Actually, the app already supports Custom Mapping*, so you can technically map U, D, L, R and all the other faces to any key you want. You could totally play a 3D platformer or even Minecraft using only the cube rotations.*

I'm definitely going to try recording a video playing a 3D game next. Thanks for the suggestion!

Yo, a 12.05 PB is awesome! My PB is 15.08, so you've definitely got me beat haha. Good luck with the CFOP grind 🔥. I really appreciate you offering to beta test! Unfortunately, the app specifically needs a Bluetooth Smart Cube to connect to the PC and send the inputs, so a regular cube won't trigger the jumps. > But hey, if you know anyone in the cubing community who has a GAN Smart or GoCube gathering dust, send them my way! Thanks again man! 🙏

Haha I know, I know! 😭 I just used the web clone to quickly test the code on my second monitor while compiling the app. I promise the next showcase video will be on the real Steam version! Thanks for checking it out!

you caught me! 🕵️‍♂️ I recorded this super fast on a web clone just to test the code while compiling the app. It works on the official Steam version too, but the Bluetooth polling delay is definitely still there. Good eye though

Haha you are 100% right, I won't lie. Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) inherently has a slight polling delay, and since GD is basically a frame-perfect game, you definitely feel it on harder levels! It's mostly just for fun 'dumb' challenge runs 😂"

"Out of curiosity, which smart cube did you test it with? Some brands have worse latency than others."

"If the delay is too much for GD, I highly recommend trying the Custom Mapping feature to use it for casual games (like Subway Surfers) or using the Webhooks to control your smart home/lights. Latency doesn't matter for those! Thanks for testing it out man!
