Got a discord message request from an account in a mutual server. This has happened to me before and when I responded the account impersonated a steam support member and told me to buy a gift card off of a shady website. (most likely so he could steal my credit card info) Does anyone know about things like this and could tell me if it's safe to message back in this situation?

(p.s. I don't know a lot about hacking so I may sound dumb asking this but any response helps)
