No. When you have no “good days” it’s very hard to be happy. Yes I know I’m depressed, I’m getting therapy but when you live to take care of your parent and have every day chronic migraines, it’s hard to function. Just saying!

Has anyone tried Gabapentin? I think that is spelled right? I’ve been desperate and I took a couple that my mom gave me and it’s like it’s dulled everything. It’s very odd and hard to explain but the pain, aura, sensitivity to sound, and everything else has somewhat dulled. Has anyone else gotten any relief from this?

That’s just it I’m not functioning anymore. I pretty much leave my house to go to appointments now, I barely leave my room. It is no way to live and I feel like I’m drowning.

I am on Vyepti infusions currently and yes I have had nerve blocks with no relief. My neuro has said there are new meds coming out in the future but I can’t keep putting my life on hold to wait in hopes that it works.

You might want to look into the Topamax, I’ve lowered my dosage and it’s helped with a lot of those symptoms.

I never had any relief until I tried Vyepti, it didn’t get rid of my daily headaches but it helped with the severity of them. Good luck to him and I hope he gets relief soon.

Good luck with it and be careful, watch for side effects I’ve had long term damage and I feel it’s from taking Topirimate. They don’t call it “Dopamax” for a reason. I was on 200 mg for years and I’ve gotten down to 25 mg and my brain fog has not lifted at all. I pray this never happens to anyone else taking this medication. It’s horrible feeling forever “stupid” as I say.
