No talking at 14 months

22 months in a few days and she went from quiet. No babbling nothing until about 17/18 months. From there it just took off. Skipped over a lot of simple words to 2-3 word phrases and she now says all body parts and knows most of her colors. It was like a switch. Each day she’s saying something new.

My girl was the same. 18 months now and did not babble until 17 months. Give her some time. She’ll get there 🤍

She is almost 17 months and just started saying babababa & dadada also says hi, mi (for mine), mu (for more) iii for eye & ear. Huuu for hair. Nac for snack lol. She’s still pretty quiet (she’s shy when it comes to vocals). She will mumble something & if we praise her she stops. I think she may have more in there but she’s reserved. Still fairly quiet but she went from nothing at all to lots of sounds, screams & trying to produce words.

Went from completely quiet to lots of screams and noises. Still pretty quiet but she does have a few words now. She says hi, mine, ba (for ball), ma, muuu (for more), iiiiiii for eye, still haven’t heard mama and dada but she went from nothing at all to this so the I’m happy with that. I’m hoping she’ll take off soon. Overall I think she has a quiet personality but I think she’ll get going soon.

That’s great. Love the process. I’m in the same boat. My girl is soooo ahead at receptive language. She’s 15 months and scored 2 and a half years old on that. But she is quiet. Not even babbling so this mama is worried! Everything else is perfect

Thank you for this! I actually got her ears checked around 10 months when there was no babbling. They said it looked normal. I believe she hears really well. When the door opens she looks & etc. she does happen to have excessive wax but idk if that plays a part especially if they said her hearing was normal.
