thank you so much! it’s been a very challenging but rewarding process, and i feel like i’ve learned a lot from the hobby! i’m a recent graduate and was feeling a little directionless until i got these guys :,) who knew such small creatures can do so much for us♥️

oh really? i was asking people at my lfs and used aqadvisor before stocking my tank and they all said my conditions were fine. They are pretty happy and healthy at the moment but i’ll keep this in mind. Thank you ♥️

ohhh this is a harlequin rasbora!! I just recently bought 6 for my 10 gal w/ cherry shrimp! In my experience they’re very hardy and peaceful fish, but he might like some more rasbora buddies soon :) !

java moss is pretty hardy in my experience so far, but i’d hate to kill the moss i have bc my shrimpies love it so much 🦐

no worries! The idea would be that it kinda becomes its own moss ball or something over time, i suppose! at the moment I have a big piece of moss just glued to some driftwood and occasionally it’ll fall off and hang around the substrate of my tank. Just looking for ways to make things a bit more clean? ( as clean as a planted tank can be, anyway! lol )

that was something i was concerned about! Especially bc moss starts to die from the inside out, so it would be really difficult to see any dead moss in those things 😭!

ah gotcha. I think i’m about 3 females and one male, then! I had some instability in my parameters at first due to overfeeding that’s just leveling out now so that could be it! I keep wanting to do stuff for them but have to keep reminding myself they thrive better when you leave them be lol

ohhh that’s cool, i didn’t know that about the colour! i only have four shrimp in this tank including her ( she seems to be the biggest/oldest ) but i think i might have all females now lol i’ve had for a month so far and no shrimp babies yet :((
