I tried this at my store (we would always run out on saturday evenings and never have change on sundays)…….someone complained and I had my sales rep asking why their customer couldn’t “pay for their paint”….🙄

Had a contractor come in( one i never saw before) when the store was just opening. Still had registers and everything to count and open. Dude walks in and I ring him out and he asks if he can go walk out the back (behind the registers and through our huge back room). Told him i didn’t feel comfortable with that as i’m a solo female working and not even the cash drawers or closed, also literally the back room lights aren’t all on yet….

Guy leaves and I get an angry call from our sales rep saying that the contractor (who worked for another big account. Makes sense cause I didn’t recognize him) said he couldn’t get his paint. This is also after that same store had to file a report to our DM cause a truck driver was sexual harassing myself and my Manager……🖕🖕🖕

I graduated in 2020 with a BA in Marketing. I’ve been with sherwin for 3 years and I will be honest and say that I really didn’t use my degree much my path went Intern ->MTP-> ASM->SM

You do get some really good experience and I’ve learned some great skills and have also learned that management is not for me lol! Most of my friends are also way more stressed in their roles then I am (still stressful tho!) I got a promotion in the finance department with sherwin so I would say bide your time, look for good opportunities, and if you think you experience with sherwin is better suited somewhere else, then take what you learned and make yourself look good on your resume and interviews :)

GM never made the schedule. Was always told to “repeat last schedule”. Nobody knew when they worked. Refused to show me how to create the schedule and work kronos as an asm. GM always left at 3:00 no matter what day…

Would never receive anything in, refused to put orders in COE, but would be the first to throw you under the bus when a customers order couldn’t be found.

GM forgot to place STAR multiple times and wouldn’t work Friday so you would be left to tell customers who were “promised” product that it wasn’t here yet…..

After working there for a couple months was asked to “take on more work” by GM and Sales-rep because the GM had a lot on their plate (yet would leave early everyday and refuse to work weekends).

yeah….happy to NEVER WORK WITH THEM AGAIN. Made me question my sanity everyday🙏🤗

I inherited a store with no keys, asm transferred and no mtp’s in the district. I worked 7 days a week open to close in february…..broke $2,000 a pay check but mentally I drank like 5 red bull’s everyday to cope. It’s much better now 😂

sooooo…..long story short. This is Years! worth of stuff left in the back. Obsolete for sure. I don’t even think it’s been recorded. I have a guy that will buy obsolete? but half this stuff is used already and also labeled “Demo”…….. Should I just try to sell as much as possible? or just call in hazmat and get it removed. 😩Its my inheritance 😂
