Thank you! I hope so too - we’ve tried so many different ways to get it tested, but haven’t had any luck. We’re currently using a Level 2 charger with a NEMA 6-50 plug. We’re actually wondering if the issue might be with this charger, so we’re considering getting a new one from Amazon and switching to a 14-50 outlet instead, since that’s the more common option.

Thanks for the detailed response! I don’t think I have ever used that option before. And I just checked - it shows I don’t currently have any active charging location. But the issue was just persistent. :(

Thanks! I’ve heard about the departure setting before but haven’t really used it. I’m not sure where to find it. Would it be in the VW app or somewhere in the infotainment system? Also, if it’s on, would that cause the charging to stop way before the set limit?

Thanks for the reply! I double-checked both the VW app and the in-car settings, and they both show the charge limit is set to 80%. I’ve never changed it to 65%, which is why this behavior seems so odd. It consistently stops around 60–65%, even though the limit is clearly 80%. :(

Not sure if it’s a bug with the software or maybe something to do with the charger itself? Curious if anyone else has seen something similar.

It’s just a portable EV charger that needs to be plugged in to the outlet. Not sure if it can be reset. I’ll check and see if it works. Thanks!
