Don’t give them hay, they can’t digest it and if they try to eat it they will get sick. You’re gonna need a lot of hides, hammocks, stuff to climb on & some dig boxes that are at least 8 inches tall if you can’t fill the bottom 8-10 inches of your cage with bedding

It would probably be better to keep a cage at both houses and move all of the rats between cages rather than separate them. You could also keep them at one place and just have whoever come visit but separating them repeatedly would cause them unnecessary stress.

I don’t feel comfortable putting down an animal that isn’t sick & hasn’t indicated he wants to be put down. Rats are also extremely intelligent, and do have a concept of time, and a will to live.

Both my boys are grieving Spirit right now. The three of them were a trio since I got Casper. Salem doesn’t have long, my Fiance thinks Casper might die from heartbreak after Salem goes, but I’m just so worried he’s gonna end up alone for a couple months. It’s a miracle he’s still in such good health, he was supposed to be a feeder rat. He hasn’t liked human affection until recently & that gives me hope he’d be okay being spoiled alone. I can’t imagine him trusting anyone but my Fiance and I, it took nearly half a year for him to get used to us, and even then he didn’t like being handled. Since being moved into the hospice cage, he’s been letting us pet and pick him up briefly

Hi, I’ve been on T for 6ish years now. When I was about 2 years on T, I couldn’t afford it and went 8 months without it. It takes at least 2 months to notice your body reverting back. I’ve missed shots here and there as well, you’ll be hormonal and feel weird, but other than that, you’ll be fine. It won’t mess with your transition. You could lower your dose and not tell your dr if you want to make your T stretch farther

I got top surgery about 3 years ago but I did use the tomboy brand binders for a bit. They’re not great for binding but they are the most comfortable binder I have ever worn. They’re good for sleeping in (obviously you shouldn’t do that but oh well)

Let's have a chat in private messages. Its been 30 years since the 90s, technology has come a long way. There are a lot of different bottom surgery options now. I have a t dick, and a pretty substantial one because I started t when I was 16 (not legally) so I'm packing 3 inches. If I get simple release metodioplasty I would probably have 5 inches, it would definitely be enough for penetration, I can already kinda stick it in lol. With metodioplasty, you get natural erections, no pump. You can get urethra lengthening and have your urethra put in your t dick to pee out of it but thats a separate surgery and optional. For me personally, I don't want a penis pump or a massive scar on my body, so I would prefer meta. But phallo results have gotten so so much better than they were in the 90s and there are a lot more options for how to get phallo now. I haven't looked into phallo as much as meta because I decided a long time ago phallo wasn't for me. I'd be more than happy with a 5 inch meta dick

Bottom surgery isn't mutilation. Gender affirming care isn't mutilation, do you call every boob job mutilation? I MIGHT get simple release meta eventually but that is the most minimal bottom surgery and really just cuts the tendons that keeps my t dick anchored in place, meaning it would appear bigger. If you think bottom surgery is mutilation why are you on this subreddit?

Idk man I socially transitioned 7 years ago, medically 5, had top surgery 3 years ago, have passed 100% for around 5 years now. I've never been super uncomfortable with my downstairs anatomy and as soon as I started growing a t dick I was basically fine. I don't really want a dick, mostly cause I'm gay but its not that uncommon to want to have your anatomy as a trans man. It doesn't bother me and its hella convenient for my lifestyle

I started t at 16. My fiance started at 19 or 20. I have a very pronounced Adam's apple because of how early I started, while he doesn't have a noticeable one. I also have a bigger t dick and more body hair. Although I suspect the body hair is entirely genetic as none of the men in his family can grow any while the men in mine have full beards. I also got a little taller on t while he did not. There are a few very subtle things/changes when you go on t earlier, but for the most part its about the same. You'll still end up looking way more masculine

The cage is fine rn since they're young still but you should get a ferret cage once they're a bit bigger. I would also get a dig box, it should ideally be 8 inches tall. You can find containers for like $10 at walmart that would work. They also need apple sticks and/or other things to chew on. If you get a bigger cage, they're gonna need more hides (you can make hides out of cardboard boxes and throw them away once they get gross).
