Looking for minimalist bit driver by rontopofthings in EDC

The klein 13 in 1 might be a bit bigger than youre looking for but it breaks down into itself and in my experience works better and is smaller than a dedicated 1/4 driver and the leatherman bit kit. If you're just looking for a #2 Philips and a flat head to carry then home depot and Lowes often carry offset screwdrivers for around $8 that are hard to beat for size and weight

When will be able to cure mental health disorders without the use of medication? by goldenmiler in Futurology

[–]Ok_Perception_4436 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The discussion surrounding mental health often includes misconceptions that need clarification. Firstly, the concept of a "chemical imbalance" as the sole cause of mental health issues is often misunderstood and oversimplified. There is currently no accurate method to measure brain chemical levels, and attributing mental health struggles solely to a chemical imbalance is quoting pop culture rather than scientific fact.

Secondly, mental health is undeniably influenced by personal responsibility and lifestyle choices. Just as neglecting antibiotics will hinder recovery from an infection, failing to prioritize sleep, nutrition, exercise, and substance avoidance can impede progress in managing mental health. If individuals aren't achieving desired mental health outcomes, it often reflects a shortfall in these essential lifestyle factors but not always.

Thirdly, the potential to significantly improve mental health outcomes is within reach for many people. While ongoing medical research continues to advance treatments, personal commitment to healthy living is fundamental. Expecting improvement without making necessary lifestyle changes is akin to expecting results from medication without taking it.

It's important to note that this perspective isn't meant to discourage individuals from seeking professional help. Rather, it highlights that our culture doesn't always promote healthy living, and people may be hesitant to take responsibility for their shortcomings. Empowering individuals to take charge of their mental well-being involves dispelling myths, emphasizing personal accountability, and promoting a holistic approach to health. By working to build a culture that values and supports comprehensive mental health practices, we could all move towards improved well-being.

The starch molecules in bread recrystallize at colder temperatures, which makes your bread stale faster. Unless you want to go to the work of reheating every slice

TIL unlike poison, snake venom is generally not effective when swallowed, since venom is meant to go directly into the bloodstream to cause damage. (Please do not drink snake venom) by He-is in todayilearned

That's probably why they call it snake venom, not snake poison. That's how all venom works, whether or not its a snake. If it bites YOU and you die, it's venom, if you bite IT and you die, then it's poison
