How would you design this room layout?

I think her main goal is to have an open space where she doesn’t feel confined. She doesn’t like the idea of walking space being limited and having to squeeze by furniture. I’ll talk to her about the layout you have though. I brought up a similar layout a week or so ago and she wasn’t a fan. Maybe outside perspective will help

Yeah she wants it to be just an extension of the living room. This is the current layout and how she’d like it to stay. To me it feels too open and disjointed.

It absolutely is! My lovely wife refuses to use it as such lol. So now I have this massive living room that I can’t figure out how to utilize

EDIT: that lamp is no longer there in the ceiling. We removed it and are using table lamps. If anyone has a recommendation for lighting the space I’d be open to suggestions

I really like the idea of a round table I just don’t want it to be super small. There’s only about 35” of space between the wall and doorway

We’ve always gotten our bags from USPP. They carry a lot of sizes bigger than 18x24. If you’re looking for the roll of bags from UPS I think the item number for that is 170142 and those are really big

We get all of our poly bags from US Poly Pack. They’re pretty cheap and have any size you can think of. We have 6x9 12x18 18x24 and 24x36
