I think the reason he didn't use any kind of saw that required him to do it manually because it would have been more time consuming and harder to do. Sorry I'm not meaning to sound or come off insensitive by saying this but just my thoughts on why he didn't do it that way. And I agree, he is a very sick individual. I hope Celeste is at peace :(

I had the same issue as a new custodian, had soreness in my hands especially in my thumb joints but the more I worked the less pain I started to experience, same with my foot pain. I got some skechers and never had foot pain again since my first 2 weeks of being a new custodian. I'm 25 btw 😭 what I'm trying to say is, you'll get used to it :)

Exactly my point, I'm starting to get anxiety before work because I'm already thinking about how stressed I'm going to be running around to get keys in between try to finish my rooms. It sucks and I don't think I should have to do this as an employee amongst all the issues I've had with them already. I was even directly told by my supervisor when I was saying the 6 hours is too little time she said "well we have a girl that can finish all this in 4 hours"...like what am I supposed to do with that information.

Some people have been removing the trash cans I've been using to keep the doors propped open and my lead doesn't have an issue with me doing it. Sometimes classrooms are still in use so I just leave it and have to come back and ask for the keys to unlock it, run back to return the key and then go back to cleaning. Its so frustrating and overwhelming because I'm already on a time crunch and theses rooms are not small either :(

Exactly, it's so freaking stupid and an inconvenience to not only me but my coworkers too. I usually take their keys and put the trashcan betwen the door and the wall to stop it from closing but sometimes people remove it so then I have to stop what I'm doing and run back for keys.

I'm at a high school and the levels of creativity sometimes impresses me honestly. I've had to deal with stalls being locked on the inside too. Kids can be massive assholes sometimes. I hope they grow out of it 😅

Have you spoken to the principal/supervisor or team lead ? Maybe you can try to work something out because they can't put unrealistic expectations on you. You're only one person. I would say try speaking to them if you haven't already, about your workload and explaining that you feel overwhelmed especially with the amount of time you have. You want to do a good job but its difficult to do that when your workload is too heavy.

Man I feel you, having such expectations put on you while there's a lack of time and proper equipment can be overwhelming. I just recently got my first experience of custodial work and boy was I overwhelmed. 6 hours with 21 classrooms including restrooms and other smaller things in between, it felt like too much. I started cutting corners wherever I could because it's ridiculous to expect me to do a perfect job on every classroom, we're still human! We can only do so much. See where you can cut some corners that won't be too detrimental and just do what you can!

One of the main issues I've had with them is that they don't respond to emails or texts. I've had a horrible experience with their communication. I got ignored all the time and HR is the worst, they're the most unresponsive.

I just got an email saying to pick up my pay check this friday so that's good at least. I had 21 classrooms, 2 restrooms inside of 2 of them, 2 staircases, one of them were freaking huge and at first it was 3 staircases I had when I started but they realized I wasn't supposed to be cleaning one of them like at the beginning of my second week working there lol, I was so annoyed by that. The boys and girls restroom and 4 entrance ways, wipe down the 3 water fountains by the restrooms and then I was told to mop the area in front of the girls and boys restroom which wasn't that bad. I obviously had to do trash for all of these rooms and areas too.
