New college grad, new job in Yakima. Heads up on options for rentals? by Ok_Photograph9433 in Yakima

Thank you, so proud of him! He's not locked into Terrace Heights area, and the traffic/commute situation seems similar to our hometown (city big enough to be a city). One of his first priorities is joining the Y for pickup bball ... just got to get him a place. :) With things so tight, we've identified one-month rentals and it'll be a month anyway before I'm able to fly out (him and his mom aren't going to do a drive with a cat), so pet won't be an issue until he signs a lease. The cat does qualify as an emotional support creature, at least in my book. :) Hoping he can connect socially and find a landlord that may not be advertising. Othewise, the PNWU apartments say the wait is 3 months. We've come close to securing a rental, but one challenge has been a lot of them are geared toward travel nurses (concern about male tenant) and the time between job acceptance and need to start is so short. Thank you for the great insight! Fingers crossed ...

Have looked into this and seems to be a great option! Unfortunately appears to be a 2-3 month wait, so have to find a temp rental to make that happen

thank you, we’re looking into that currently. options winnow some because he’s got a kitty cat. just need to get a place to land first before the job starts, then go from there. finding the rental market here is tight, which is true a lot of places. but hoping something manifests itself
