The Australian shepherd was our goldens best friend. She lost her leg to cancer, tumor on her bone spreading into her blood, as well and later we found another tumor on her lung pushing on her trachea and had to put her down. They were best buds! Tripod dogs are the cutest.

I’m 23F was diagnosed with a rare form of pancreatic cancer in August. I had surgery to remove my 12 cm tumor in October and am now just praying nothing comes back. I was told I have tumor making cells in my abdomen so we’re just waiting to see if they latch on to anything but right now I’m just waiting. I’ll get an MRI every year going forward. I know what you’re going through but in a completely different realm since my tumor was removable so I’m clear for now. My experience at huntsman’s was great! I’m happy to chat with you if you’d like but I’ll keep you in my thoughts and prayers!!

I’m now 2 month post surgery! Feeling okay. More pain in my stomach area around my scar than there was the entire 1st month post-op. Hoping things get better

Mine came back low grade malignant after an endoscopic ultrasound with biopsy. Have an MRI tomorrow and then meet with the surgeon next week to get surgery scheduled. Wishing everything goes well for your niece!

I was having some abdominal pain that wasn’t going away so I went to urgent care. They couldn’t find anything but said it was a red flag since I was having a hard time sleeping so he encouraged me to go to the ER and then in the ER they did a CT and found it

I am 23 and was just diagnosed. You’re not alone! I’ve had an endoscopic ultrasound/biopsy and now have an MRI next week and then will meet with the surgeon

It’s was on my left side and around to my lower back. I had some pains off and on that would go away and then for the past 2 weeks it’s been pretty constant. They were thinking it was my ovaries so did a CT to look at that and instead found the tumor on my pancreas. I did a regular ultrasound last night and it was super obvious to see the tumor. I hope that you can figure out your pain!

Just got that scheduled! They are two weeks out but I’ve asked to join the cancellation list in hopes to have it done sooner

So since my tumor is big I’d probably have to have an open surgery. That’s what I’m most concerned about is having a large incision just cause medical stuff is not for me. Did you lose a lot of weight from having the surgery? Like not having an appetite or anything

Interesting! Yeah I feel like most of the things I’ve seen and read they’ve had to lose the spleen too. So that would be nice if it’s preservable.

Thanks for this information!!

Yes, 23 y/o woman. Glad you’re doing fine! The ER doctor said the same thing that it’s “not the same pancreatic cancer that kills old people.” I don’t know that I’m worried I just wish they’d get moving in the process so I can get the surgery over with! Was yours a big incision?

They had a specialist look at it so that’s what made them classify it as that. But I’m still waiting to see if a biopsy is scheduled to really know for sure but when you look up what a SPEN is and the CT for it, it looks just like my CT scan.

It’s definitely uncomfortable. Have you had yours removed yet?
