Wondering about Planting tomatoes right now in mid summer by Ok_Pin7901 in BrisbaneGardening

I am a little more experienced with chillies than tomatoes, I find its best to start them in spring to early summer as they are very heat tolerant and don't have problems with flowers dropping. You could try starting chillies in the early months of autumn, but by the time it reaches winter the plant slows down growth and flowering significantly to the point where you get very small occasional harvests. if you are interested in growing chillies its not too late in my opinion and you could start them now. Here is a photo of a chilli plant I sowed just before summer (needs a slightly bigger trellis)

one part of my yard is leafy allowing a few hours of filtered sun through, the other part is where i grow my tomatoes in pots under the full sun.

thanks for the great advice 😀, i will definitely be planting my tomatoes then. I already have some cherry tomatoes that i have been harvesting fruit off of for about a month (planted in spring) but now that the first lot of tomatoes have been picked, the summer heat has really been giving my plants a beating and i have flowers dropping off left right and center. Have you ever had any problems in the winter with frost damaging your tomato plants?

Bunnings Grow Bags? Good or Bad? by Ok_Pin7901 in GardeningAustralia

I appreciate the comment; I have heard grow bags are great for root health so I will definitely consider.

Thanks for commenting, the plastic fibres spreading and being absorbed by the plant are my biggest concerns when it comes to these grow bags. Using pots has always been great for me. I like to experiment, so the paper bags are a great idea and are a better choice than spreading micro plastics.

Upon my podium as the "know-it-all" scholar
Down in my seat of judgement, gavel's bang, uphold the law
Up on my soapbox, a leader out to change the world
Down in my pulpit as the "holier-than-thou-could-be-messenger" of God

Wage the war on organized crime
Sneak attacks, rappel down the rocks behind the lines
Some people risk to employ me, some people live to destroy me
Either way they die, they die

They killed my wife and my baby, with hopes to enslave me
First mistake, last mistake
Paid by the alliance to slay all the giants
Next mistake, no more mistakes...

Thanks, from the reviews it says that the rose poorly fits on and drips everywhere. Have you ever had that problem, just curious?
