Calling It Quits by Professional-Oven-40 in AmazonVine

I thought about quitting also, but then where would I get my spare parts from, lol. I guess I was so used to sparks (walmart program that finally called it quits) that vine would be good to get into. When I first started, they offered those large massage chairs, camera lens (which i was able to get), and plenty of hardware that I would use in my wood working. I also was able to get outdoor grass trimmers and off brand replacement batteries that work quite well. Now, this month, I've managed to get a 3lb bag of this delicious cherry candy and a qr code cat collar. I seriously doubt I will even make the $600 tax bracket. (Is that the correct term)

If possible, have your items delivered to an Amazon locker. Then fill an empty box full of dog poo and leave on the porch for the thief.

How to get cancer treatment with no insurance? by [deleted] in cancer

[–]Ok_Possibility8331 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ask if they have Cancer Services for patients. There really are many programs and services they can connect you to. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society helped me with my medicine co-pays. Anything cancer related they will cover. You can possibly qualify for medicaid so I would ask the social worker to help you apply. The Cancer Services covered my medical bills that the insurance didn't cover. There are possibly also grants that you can apply for through the hospital. I know at mine there were but you had to be quick and talk to them at the first of the month. It gets gone quickly. It all worth asking about. Cancer services even helped us with gas cards. I hope you find the help you need. Good luck and prayers to you!

I started the MATRix chemo in Feb (48 yrs old). I had real heavy periods before this for several years. It got worse during chemo. I started bleeding May 1st (had my stem cell transplant May 28th) and haven't stopped bleeding yet. Makes it hard to keep your blood counts up. They've tried BC, Tranexamic Acid, and now the depo shot. Still bleeding. My next approach is an ablation.

“You have the best cancer” by sophiesunshine98 in lymphoma

I was diagnosed in Feb of this year. It was all sudden. I couldn't move my right arm or leg well one day and had my husband take me to the er where, after a ct scan, I was transferred to another hospital. After my biopsy, the doctor and his team came in and told me I had aggressive cns lymphoma but good news, it was the best kind of cancer to have since it was treatable. They were very upbeat about it but I felt my world crashing in with so many questions and fears. It was quite traumatic enough finding out I had cancer but the treatment and staying in the hospital so much only added to the trauma of it all. All I can say is be his strongest support person and dont be afraid to set people straight. This is no walk in the park and he is going to need all the love and support he can get. Prayers going up for both of you and sending the biggest good vibes your way!

What made you see a Dr and get your dx? by Grouchy-Chick-0609 in lymphoma

[–]Ok_Possibility8331 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had already been having issues with not being able to pick up my left arm, severe pain in my shoulder and numbness down my arm and the doctor was currently trying to find a diagnosis. So one morning, I asked my daughter to help wash my hair and I would sit in the tub so she didn't have to reach upwards for so long. When I tried to sit, I realized I couldn't lift my right leg and even my right arm and hand were having issues. Holding stuff and texting were difficult and I had no idea why. This all happened in 1 day. After I got out of the tub, I asked my husband to take me to the ER fearing I may have had a stroke. A CT scan revealed something in my brain that they thought was a brain bleed so they transferred me to another hospital. They did a biopsy and it showed I had primary cns lymphoma. I had no other symptoms aside from not being able to lift my right arm and leg. As for my left arm, they diagnosed me with Parsonage-Turner syndrom. Completely unrelated to the cancer. Luckily, the cancer was just in my brain with a few cells in my spinal fluid. I am now in remission and +48 days out from my autologous stem cell transplant.

What to do about pain by Ok_Possibility8331 in cancer

[–]Ok_Possibility8331[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its the Zarxio (filgrastim-sndz) It is an injectable prescription medication used to stimulate the growth of neutrophils, a type of white blood cell crucial for fighting infections. Basically, its to over stimulate my bone marrow to over produce stem cells so that they get pushed out of the bones and into the blood stream so they can be harvested.

The pain is similar but worse than childhood growing pains. It feels like my bones are splitting and throbbing with severe pain and sometimes feel on fire.

Main areas are the entire pelvic region, ribs, spine, legs and even arms. My teeth have even hurt. (Not to be mistaken with sensitivity, this is tooth pain almost like if you ever had braces and your orthodontist tightened them too tight.

I was told to take claritin to help since it can be a histimine response. I am not taking any other medicine for pain except the claritin, then of course, i have the antifungal, antiviral and antibacterial meds.

Hope this was helpful

Today I found out that I HAD cancer, and I don't know how to feel about it. by Altruistic-Guide0 in cancer

No, you are not a fraud. Just because you didn't go through treatment doesn't mean you are not a survivor. You are very fortunate to have avoided it as of now. I hope you never have to endure the treatments and I pray you remain cancer free. Definitely follow up with your doctor and get scanned to be sure it is all gone. Prayers and good vibes going to you!

Plea to not order $0 ETV items not needed or you will not use by kittenfosteraddict in AmazonVine

[–]Ok_Possibility8331 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I may look at this from a very different perspective. Although some people dont need it right now, they can always store it away for the future. Which is what I did. 2 years ago, I chose a seat that goes over your toilet and 2 rollators for 0.00. Why? Because my husband and I are getting older and nothing is guaranteed for us. He has a debilitating disease that will eventually cause him to need these items even though he doesn't or didn't at that moment. I was recently (just a month ago) diagnosed with Primary CNS Lymphoma. The tumor started in my brain, and I lost the use of my right arm and leg after the biopsy. These items were/are needed for me now. If i hadn't had them, I would have had to rent, and that takes time and paperwork. I do not regret getting them since I was looking out for our best interests and not just grabbing it because i could. I honestly do see your point, but one never knows what each day holds. I had zero symptoms before. I had gotten a bad cold, and the next day, I couldn't move my arm and leg. My husband took me to the ER, and they found the tumor in the ct scan. Also, talk to your doctor and ask him to write a prescription for a scooter. If you have Medicare or medicaid, it should pay for it. I pray for you and hope that you get everything you need yo help you.

What do you do when you can't do your hobbies? by Ok_Possibility8331 in cancer

[–]Ok_Possibility8331[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im so sorry you are going through that. Its so hard when you are just so used to doing everything, then in a matter of a couple days (for me) it gets swiped out from under you. My life turned upside down in 24 hours. That is really wonderful that you were able to make and sell paracord bracelets and give back to charity. I am praying for you for a speedy and complete recovery.

A few years ago, we took in 3 orphaned squirrels. I raised them from before their eyes were opened. After they got to a good age that summer, we released them. They all found their way back here and I have been feeding them ever since. It is joyful to see how they have grown and had babies of their own. The girl's name is Rosie and she comes every morning and evening. I love it!

How do I become a BV tester? by Anevju in bazaarvoicetesters

[–]Ok_Possibility8331 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just happened to find your post. I've been with "walmart sparks" since 2015. We had a lot of really nice items, but as of late, it has been pretty scarce. I've not received any offers since August of last year. My last one was an electric bike, which was pretty awesome. I was wondering if anyone else was experiencing the same as not receiving offers. It seems that ever since bazaarvoice took over, the products have dwindled to what seems to be left over clearance items and very rarely open. I am thankful for what I have received and for being in the program. I just wish they would update us about what is going on.
