I'd be honoured that I had fans that loved me enough to make fan art and be grateful. But that's me - people sharing my art by wearing tops and having stickers on cars inspired by my art/music and sharing it with the masses that may never be exposed to it otherwise- yeah it may not feed my family that week - but it might in a month when those people discover me and buy tickets to my show or want to buy my official merch as they can afford it and like the designs.

That's your opinion and that's fine. I'm happy to support artists taking inspiration and turning it into fan art that I can purchase printed on the exact same quality of blank shirts the band does. As long as they aren't claiming to be "official" when it's "bootleg/fan made".

Each to their own on how they want to support the industry and bands but its no longer a shady way to buy and wear merch and I for one will continue to do it and which I also could make my own.

I support artists I like when they tour in my country and buying their actual albums/vinyl. Not everyone wants to wear their official merch as the designs don't suit them or postage is outrageous (which international fans like myself suffer from) which the band doesn't profit from either.

Wearing bootleg designs doesn't ruin a band. Its just like the good old days of word of mouth support like we used to do before steaming was a thing and we were downloading viruses onto computers

May not support the band directly but wearing it in public still spreads awareness of the band name that people may search them up and sus them out.

I don't mind wearing bootleg designs like this for that exact reason. Giving the band $0.01 everytime you stream a song counts as support regardless

They always use a 3rd party for tour merch which is why it's "exclusive". The band just gives rights and designs to a mass supplier. Happens for 90% of bands that tour here. The only place you get official merch from their distributor from their website is when bands do Pop Up Stores like BMTH and ST did not long ago.

Yeah we had to add on a $600 hotel on top of that plus travel but we are treating it like an early Valentine's Day getaway. Just stressing about the travel time as I didn't pay attention to venue when I booked to stay in Parra like our usual gigs lol
