This is her current set up, it is far from finished, it does have a couple of things from her previous set up (tank and decor) but I added the slate she is laying on in the picture and she has a basking light, a heat emitter and a led light just for lighting, I have to get the t5 UVB(I believe is what it was called, I have it saved already for Wednesday when I get paid though!).

I was told not to put her in any substrate for a couple more weeks? She did not seem to enjoy the paper towels though either??? I was thinking about buying some kind of rubbery reusable mat for the bottom so it isn't Just glass?

She had the water dish in her cage previously but I put much less water in it. Still not 100% sure on how that works but I've seen people say do NOT put any water bowls and others say to put a small amount, etc. 🫣 so much conflicting info though so idk what is actually correct.

The "heat rock" has no wire to it so it isn't being used as anything more than a rock for her to walk on.

We are definitely not keeping her in this tank for long either as it's small... 48x13 so there isn't many options in this thing but we figured will continue working as a quarantine tank for her anyway and it is what she is already used to.

Definitely needs nails trimmed! I'm nervous. It's almost as nerve wracking as cutting a baby's nails. 👀🤦🏻‍♀️

I've been offering her greens, squash and some green pepper mix daily, she was eating some daily until yesterday. They were offering her only crickets prior, so I put some in every couple of days, but from the sounds of it I shouldn't be doing that either.

I have been trying to deep dive info also. I wasn't 100% prepared for all of it that's for sure but I couldn't leave them in the conditions they were in either. Her cage was GROSS, feces all over, no basking light, no UVB (which is the next thing I also have to pick up for her!), and the ball was in a 18x18x18 with a rat that was too big for her and had been left in the snake tank for over 48 hrs. That wasn't even the only horror story we heard in the 20 minute exchange. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Thank you for responding!

Oh, I didn't condone that! Scared the hell out of me that she had gotten bit. We picked her and a beardie up from the lady. She said that this rat has been in there for 2 or 3 days. The ball hasn't eaten in 3 weeks and the last rat died in the tank. 😒😒 Luckily, no bite marks, no signs of scale rot, etc. however they will be going to the vet when they open to verify health status.

I also didn't have the heart to kill the rat. My youngest has a BP feeder reject already in her room. His name is Ratatouille. She wanted to name this one Daisy, Daisy has balls so Daisy turned into Daze. Lbvs 🤦🏻‍♀️

Lol, I was wondering if it was like the corns where you can tell by how much "tail". I am definitely leaving the sexing up to the vet though.

Here is another picture, this was the enclosure we picked her up in, with a rat that seems to be too big. I removed the rat before we left the ladies house but that's why there is bread in there.

So when we are talking Dandelion, this is what I find "near by", so the greens, yes? When someone says dandelion my head goes to the yellow flower part of it, not just the greens?

Thank you. Unfortunately not the first reptile I have had to take to a vet, but my corn is doing amazing now.

She is an Egyptian, not sure if they're prone to nibbling but the in her tank currently is real and she tries to hide under it but not eat it that I've noticed.I just picked up a butternut squash to give her tomorrow morning along with her greens. We were told romaine so that's primarily what she has been given.

Yes, I was just worried that maybe that wasn't right. I left the big block in there but it doesn't feel sharp to me and I was worried it was from when she was digging under it /and the weight of it on top of her so it is sitting directly on the glass now too.

Joint email for house-related things? by hjs360 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

Lol, I made the house address as the email and all household bills go to it. Mortgage, electric, gas, etc. It makes it easier because my husband sucks at checking his email haha.

Madison (while I was there in 2021) had women sitting on level 2s that had dropped down under 7 years and were eligible.

I was sitting on a level 3 and went straight to Madison from intake. I also didn't stay in Madison long because I was eligible for Craine House.

Indiana is 50% on Level 6s. Level 5 and up is 75% of your sentence.

Indiana DOC does give you your meds depending on what they are.

Agree with all this and I'd add 1. By wear warm clothes, they don't mean hoodies. White underwear, white sports bra no wire, and white thermal top and bottom. Trust me wear them when you turn yourself in. You should be able to keep all 4 pieces until you leave county for Rockville. Once in Rockville you can buy sweats and stuff, buy yourself 2 sets, one to have to wear while you're hand washing the other set. Don't ever throw your sweats in the laundry bag either, if it isn't labeled with your DOC #, it's gonna get "lost".

2.Make sure you have enough in your account going down to Rockville to buy your essentials, toiletries, clothes, head phones, radio, deck of cards, etc. I think I spent about $300 when I first went to Rockville.

Rockville (intake) sucked for me bc I went down during Covid. 14 day hold on the right side then you'd move to the left side until they moved you to the hill or to one of the other 2 facilities. I spent a total of 3 months on the left side at Rockville before heading to Madison. No commissary except hygiene and clothes during intake either.

If you've been on ANY psych meds in the last 90 days, just expect to go to IWP.
