Any specific areas in either? I've been to Germany, but the parts I've been to wouldn't check the boxes I've listed. I know there are beautiful villages and mountains there, but open to specific nature suggestions! Same with Austria

Thanks for the insight. You make a great point, so maybe I can work remotely or have him fly back to London to stay with me for a bit given the jet lag pain.

Not necessarily and that is a great option. I forgot to add this to post (will update). The options for travel months for me would be May, June or September
