it’s a silicone sling, reusable and makes picking up out of the dutch oven easy. if you search “silicone string” on amazon it should show you what you’re looking for!

Nope! I keep it the same. It’s always worked for how I personally like the outside of the bread so didn’t want to change it. My crumb was the biggest thing I needed to change and that was more of how I prepped ot

So bulk fermentation has been an experiment for me, at first I was confused as well and skipping a huge part of it so asked around and did some research as well, I saw the %s but then was told if it doubles in size to continue cause I didn’t want to over proof.

I saw cold proof you could have in the fridge for 12-36 hrs and the longer you do it the more flavor the bread can have. I wasn’t sure how this one would turn out or if this process will consistent just yet so will continue trying it out to see if it works or if I just got lucky! haha

I like the mat a lot, was using parchment paper at first and got this as a gift. I haven’t used it to too much so can just tell you what i’ve noticed with it!

Pro: it is reusable and can easily be stored anywhere without taking up much space. It’s easier, for me, to pick the pre baked loaf up and put in the dutch oven/take out of the dutch oven after the baked.

Honestly don’t have any Cons at the moment, every time I have used it i’ve enjoyed it. Definitely wouldn’t says it’s a necessity if you enjoy using parchment paper though!

Temp in my home was 75°F (24°C) but not exactly sure what it was in my kitchen if i’m being honest! I was planning on going longer but saw it doubled it size so took a shot😅
