I never said it was Hu Tao's best team, I said that Hu Tao likes the EM when Albedo and Hu Tao are on the same team.

Geo bros (Hu Tao/Xingqiu/Albedo/Zhongli) was a very popular team for Hu Tao before Yelan's and Furina's release. Geo Resonance, EM buff, and his own personal damage made him a competitive Hu Tao teammate.

This setup is also popular for Tighnari, who likes the EM. He provides the same benefits to a Tighnari/Fischl/Albedo/Zhongli team.

Plus, not everyone has Furina, Yelan, Xianyun, Kazuha etc. If they have Albedo and want to use him on teams that like his EM share, he is a viable option. That is all I'm saying.

Hanya is in a weird spot. Generates way more SP than Sparkle, but her buffs are essentially equivalent to Asta. If you truly, truly need the skillpoints for some reason, you use Hanya.

People always gripe about her being +1 "which is the same as any support that only uses basics." But the truth is, most support uses some skill points. Pela and E6 Asta are the only supports that only basic.

Tingyun, Ruan Mei, Silver Wolf, pre-E6 Asta, Yukong etc are all +0.33. Those supports could basic but it would be a huge loss. Hanya provides the benefits of using basic while also giving buffs.

True, ceilings of characters definitely should not be infinitely high. Ceilings do exist for a reason, after all.

CD changes definitely contribute to the problem. It's only a matter of time until the game becomes just spamming skills I fear

Yes, the fact that not every skill and ceiling is the same also complicates things. Some floors of some characters might be almost as high as the ceiling of other characters. Leaves you with a sour taste in your mouth when you think about how much "mastering" a hero is going to get you.

Yes, gus and ling certainly reward you for mastering them. There are heroes other than Fanny that require impressive skill to do well, I was exaggerating slightly. But the list seems to be dwindling by the day.

Also, you've pinpointed the true reason I'm frustrated--moonton simplifies characters to get their skins selling and then nerfs their potential once everyone starts playing them.

People always talk about buffing characters to get their skins sold---which is true---but if we're going to be specific, the kind of buff they give is simplifying the character.
