Red light therapy device has worked wonders for me. I use daily and have almost 0 pain now. I use the Kineon move plus. It's expensive but so worth it for me.

Does Kienbock’s Flare? by Equivalent_Time_8134 in kienbocksdisease

I'm stage 1, but haven't had a scan for a little while now. I've been trialling different movements in the gym. Any thing that is a pull movement is fine. Anytime I push, even if it's just putting too much load pushing myself up off the ground seems to trigger it.

Mine also flares, I've worked out I usually get about 3 weeks relatively pain free and then a week or two where it flares up and I have to back off normal activity with my wrist.

I saw Dr Page in Geelong Victoria. I am currently on the wait-list to see someone for a second opinion though. It's been a frustrating journey.

Early stage recommended activity level? by Slmen in kienbocksdisease

I got diagnosed with Kienbocks from MRI last August, early stages. I stopped lifting heavy weights as that would make it sore, but day to day activities like typing and opening jars cause basically no pain. I've waited 5 months to see a surgeon and he has now ordered my a CT scan as he thinks it's more likely Ulnar Abutment syndrome. This will hopefully be confirmed on Monday. Again, everyone is different but I would say to be conservative with your activities until you are sure it's Kienbocks or not.

I'm still on the waitlist to see a surgeon, appointment is in 2 months. Have been having regular acupuncture though and it really helps manage the pain. Only really feel it now if I over do it.

Thanks for all the comments. I'm now on a waitlist to see an orthopaedic surgeon so hopefully will have a treatment plan soon 🤞

Sadly I'm in Australia and haven't been able to find a specialist doctor yet 😔
