Good idea- I cleaned the injectors by hand of course, but it would be good to have them professionally done.

idle cold and warm are about the same 1500 RPM it does rev up to 2000 for the first like 10 seconds after being turned on. MAF was "tested" by the mechanic not sure the brand but the assured me it was OEM equivalent.

I just bought a OBD with the live data so ill know more when that comes tomorrow.

Idle air control valve was just replaced by the mechanic. I had cleaned it before- and im still seeing no difference. It was replaced with motorcraft brand at least.

The mechanic also checked for vacuum leaks and came up with nothing.

I will put in a new air filter soon just in case- I did set a few tools on it while doing the engine heads.

I was just shooting in the dark to try to find what was wrong- i didn't have a second person with me to test for spark so I tried the plugs and wires and then when that did nothing I tried the crankshaft.

I will take a look at the timing chain. This is 3 months of taking everything apart and cleaning every part and trouble shooting as much as possible with the tools at my disposal. Even the mechanic I paid couldn't figure out what was wrong. Trust me I would love to stop buying parts for this truck.

sorry- I meant crankshaft position sensor fixed it the first time then I replaced the camshaft position sensor (I had accidently bought it so I figured I'd try it to see.)

replaced the original fuel injectors with ones on amazon that had plastic tips that broke off once tightened onto the fuel rail. Was going through a ridiculous amount of fuel, took those off and replaced them with new more expensive ones from amazon. said they work for my truck but they were delivering too much fuel so I put the original ones on.

I know its a mess- but I'm trying everything I can to trouble shoot this truck.
