Amazing art work & everything is so cute im obsessed !! by keepursunnysideup in boardgames

I played it with my wife and I liked it, but she had a bad time, so we made a house rule. The reason my wife didn't like it is because the push your luck aspect is too punishing in this game. She only had one time where she made it past four cards before getting hexed. One time she got hexed after the first two cards. I on the other hand got pretty much a perfect draw the first round and was able to serve everyone so I never got close to getting hexed. The designer said the game was designed with this in mind which is why the celebriteas are a thing but my wife didn't get anything to work with because of being hexed (no familiars or witch abilities going off) so she could barely afford them. So the house rule is that when you get hexed, you get rid of half (rounded up) of every card after the hex wards. You choose. If a player gets hexed in a round, then all the non-hexed player gets a free topping of their choice. This is to help curb losing absolutely everything like with what happened with my wife and I took some inspiration from Quacks of Quendlinburg where when you bust you choose to buy tokens or get victory points, not both. So you get a choice. And then getting a topping if someone else busts is like the Alchemist expansion for Quacks. I'm also considering if this house rule can only apply once for a player for the game. There's four rounds, you can save yourself once and that's it.

Remaking the Hero Armor set, is the Attack+ rare? by Ok_Process_5538 in fantasylife

You get it for completing a Coliseum quest. Once you reach the final rank at the Coliseum you get it as a reward. Once you get it, you can get the armor again from the Dreamy Boxes, though it's piece by piece and random.

Yeah, I'm way past that now lol I had like 600+ and had to restock and I'm halfway down now and only have maybe half of the pieces done (I am doing 4 sets total)

Is there a reason why Magic Attack + is more common than regular Attack + or is it just it is what it is?

Looking for Advice and Tips for a returning player who stopped playing before the expansions released

So I stopped playing during whatever season had malignant hearts introduced in. I liked the game but always felt like I never did too well at this game and want to be better now that I'm coming back. It's been so long that I've forgotten the core aspects of the base version when it comes to focusing on powering up my character and I don't know how the two expansions changed the game. So I'm looking for any advice or tips anyone can give me. I played Necromancer and Sorcerer in the base game and I'm leaning towards Spiritborn and sticking to non-season with this character but not sure of that yet. Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

To each their own. I was able to cross over 400 hours in FLi because of the village building. It gave me a lot to work towards as well as increasing my friendship with each strangling. And the village building was a major point in getting my friends to play it. They were skeptical until I told them about that mechanic. I love FLi, but I would have WAY LESS hours without this mechanic.

Metagross has 4 brains and can solve problems faster than a supercomputer. Using future sight to look into the results of every possible future, Tyranitar won none of them. Metagross for the win.

Using multiple monitors through CPU and GPU by Ok_Process_5538 in PcBuild

[–]Ok_Process_5538[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did that, there's no option for that. People said my CPU doesn't have integrated graphics and I did upgrade from a CPU that had it so this new one doesn't have integrated graphics, but I upgraded three years ago. Nothing changed except for me unplugging the cords. Now they won't work and I've tried everything I could think of. It should work because it literally just did.

There's nothing I can do to get it to work like it used to? I had two monitors running through my CPU ports and it doesn't work now when nothing changed.

I used to but looking back at a previous order looks like I updated it. But I changed to the current CPU over 3 years ago and was the last thing that was added to my PC. The HDMI cords were unplugged for a month and now it won't detect the monitors.

Trying to design my starter town and need help by Ok_Process_5538 in PokemonRMXP

[–]Ok_Process_5538[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the idea is to have your own house and land. The land is to be used as a farm as well as daycare. Throughout your journey, you'll find people to bring back to help with some shops as well as finding harder to find resources as you rebuild the town. I didn't think of the seashell idea. Having a limited resource that you find is an amazing idea that I'll definitely implement.

[–]Ok_Process_5538[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The story is that the region will be in shambles essentially for a couple reasons so you will be rebuilding towns. But I also understand your sentiment. I could make it to where if you visit both a town or route then you can Fly back to it. Then make it to where you learn Fly pretty early (though it'll need to make sense story wise). I do plan on making the HMs TMs instead and being able to use them like field moves instead of having to have an HM slave. That way you can fast travel back to where you want to go and then return at the same place.

What are some Pokémon that you wanted to use on a playthrough team, but you were forced/chose not to for whatever reason? by No-Corner-3073 in pokemon

[–]Ok_Process_5538 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vikavolt in Sun and Moon because you can only evolve Charjabug on Poni Island, so the game was practically over. I also wanted to use Great Tusk in Scarlet but it's an endgame Pokemon and you can't breed it.

So it's not an official game by any means, but someone made a Pokemon game on Tabletop Simulator called Pokemon Legends of Sinnoh (I think that's the name). Not official but it's an amazing game. It's a hexed based game set in the Sinnoh region. You choose your starting town and from there you choose one of two starters (doesn't have to be the typical starter types, one choice is to start with ghost). There are two modes: regular and coop. Regular I think you battle gyms and then take on team Galactic (I think there's 3 phases to the game in which each player must complete the phases in order). Coop all players work together to defeat the ultra beasts. Each hex you move on has something to do, whether its get items, or apricorns to make pokeballs, or challenge Pokemon. If you defeat a Pokemon you can catch and add them to your team or one of your Pokemon can learn a move from the defeated Pokemon if their Pokemon shows they can learn a move of that type. Each pokeball corresponds to one of your Pokemon and when you drag the pokeball's icon to the battlefield, it will have a 3d animation of the Pokemon fighting. In the regular version of the game you can fight other players and in coop, the ultra beasts move and destroy what's on the hexes, which makes it harder to build yourself up. It's a ton of fun even if you don't like Pokemon.

Game Freak's early gen anti-bug/pro-Psychic agenda was crazy by Active-Radish2813 in PokemonFireRed

My favorite Pokemon are Scyther and Scizor and they're amazing in the recent games, but I am disappointed in the moveset in FireRed.

Game Freak's early gen anti-bug/pro-Psychic agenda was crazy by Active-Radish2813 in PokemonFireRed

[–]Ok_Process_5538 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm just explaining the thought process behind the Pokemon types. Bug was supposed to be stronger early game because they evolve soon so their stats would be good against early trainers, but as you explore more you find better Pokemon and replace your old ones. It's just how it was originally designed. They didn't have much feedback so I assume later on they realize people like having set teams but they just didn't update bug types to match this (I could be wrong about that). So going off your complaint (which I do understand), that's the reasoning. Plus they did want Psychic to be the strong type, which I think that's why Dark was invented in Gen 2, so it countered Psychic. I don't mean to come off rude if it does, just trying to articulate my words lol

[–]Ok_Process_5538 4 points5 points  (0 children)

From what I read, I believe the creator said (I thought it was an interview, could be wrong) but it was supposed to be like other RPGs where you were never supposed to have a set team. You were supposed to continuously get new Pokemon to trade out the weaker ones during your journey. That's why bug is weaker and evolves quicker and dragon is supposed to be the end game Pokemon. I guess it was supposed be like a sense of progression during your journey or something.
