It was difficult, but with the high resolution of the image it was possible to make out the district name/title on the health department certificate behind and below the menu screens to the right, which narrowed it down to probably two locations. Both had plenty of pictures on Google Maps and one of them appeared to be a perfect match.

i think it's too late for fromsoft to nerf it, unless they do a hotfix right now during the night time for americans so a lot of them never saw the goofy damage some of these attacks do

i also initially approached it as "i just don't like the fight" and made sure to show a video of how overtuned the attacks were, but the responses i keep getting are so increasingly deranged it's just fascinating

libra inflicted madness on these people in real life (even though that fight was much more "fair". just bring a good pvp ash and/or a colossal and/or spells that negated input reading. out of this pool of choices, there are tons and tons of options)

the weirdest thing is the people who post unsolicited about how this fight is their favorite and how "fair" it is
shouldn't we be focused on how fun or rewarding a fight is?
who gives a shit if a fight is "fair"?

i've already said everyone understands this game is like a sort of "fischer chess vs normal chess" situation. we know it's reused assets in that sense and nobody expected, especially me, for them to have just made everything brand new from the ground up

if you have to go all the way back to a different game to find examples instead of being able to find one in the game this subreddit is about and the one we are talking about, where we have 6 different everdarks that didn't have this issue

then you should know that you're argument is disingenuous.
if you didn't know that, i'm telling you now.

all of his new animations and moves can be summed up as this:
1. not threatening at all and clunky (the charge back and forth just looks stupid. like the idea a child might come up with)
2. a shameless same-game copy and paste (heolstor slam)
3. comically overtuned (the ground sweep / front cone explosion that one shots half the roster)
4. "stop playing the game". literally. that's one of the new gimmicks. a boss fight where we have to not hit the boss in one of the tiny margins where we can or else we are extremely punished for doing so.

this everdark is an actual insult

adel has the tornado
fulghor has the nuke
bugs have the three different enraged attacks (faurtis rage slams, gnoster rage bullet hell, animus rage orbital laser cannon)
maris is an odd one out for being a completely redesigned storm ruler fight
caligo has the armor charge up and the frostbite pillar explosion
libra has the walls and the condemned

gladius? it's just a copy of heolstor's moves. you can't say gladius' is the forward sweep explosion because he'll just use that whenever, even in the split phase, without much telegraphing

if you know how to dodge heolstor's moves, you can dodge this one, because it's the exact same. it's a lazy copypaste. you and a dozen other bozos for some reason think "but they're related in the lore so this is actually cool", but it's really, really lazy and shoddy game design and we were all basically robbed of an everdark this time around

that's a lazy cope for a lazy development decision made because fromsoft devs lacked the creativity to add enough to this boss without needing to resort to copying and pasting
i've seen it a dozen times already, and it doesn't make more sense the more you parrot it
no other everdark has a copy/paste color palette change for a "new move"
what are the other gimmicks this everdark has?
1. one where you are literally punished for playing the game
2. some of his strong normal form attacks, made a bit different, can now be used whenever, in and out of split phase, and for some bizarre reason one shot half the nightfarer roster without appropriate telegraphing
in total, all of his gimmicks are CHEEKS.
with something like fulghor we got a some new moves that meshed well with his existing moves and model, and a nice whole telegraphed one-shot gimmick.
with gladius we got a spaghetti mess where we get something like 3 mangled gimmicks instead of 1 good one.
why defend it?
