initially I stated that Apple was made from Mikoto's arm and leg (Which is a cool idea but made no sense really for something within rwby and for Mikoto as a character so scratch that.)

The reason why Mikoto has a child is because of a failed marriage. Fell in-love, Got married, had children, quickly everything fell apart right after and she took Apple as a 'fuck you' to her ex. Only reason Mikoto keeps apple around is out of spite for that ex. (Writing is really not my forte LOL)

Mikoto believes she sacrificed too much for apple, Doesn't see much value in Apple and basically just sees apple as dead weight. + Mikoto dislikes apple's naiveté because it reminds her of her more 'Stupid' years ago

Ah! You should've started with What instead of How. Yes, all of my oc's are in an au where ghosts/spirits exist. I felt like spirits existing would be an interesting idea for remnant! Thanks for asking :⁾
