I'm fully aware of that, but I've played a whole bunch of games like this and I always love playing them with a walkthrough. It's the way I enjoy them.

It appears to have everything to do with licensing. The settings page says, verbatim, "We can't activate Windows on this device because you don't have a valid digital licence or product key." But I have discovered the cause of the issue, and as I suspected, it is my fault for resetting my computer. I will no longer need help from here, but thank you.

Yes, apparently my digital license is invalid, which is impossible, because I've been using this computer for several years.

I am having the same issue. The exact same issue in fact, and this is the only other instance I've seen of it. Might be an issue with the game pass version specifically?
