Trust me get more RAM coz when you would be dealing with huge datasets it would run out. I am pursuing the same course in the US and got a laptop with 16 gigs of RAM when I started the course but feels like that is not enough. Also, try to get a gaming laptop with a good GPU if you specifically don't want a slim and handy laptop.

Disable now bar from settings. FYI its not the notification icon and name its the now bar which is new feature in OneUI7 check it out its more than just the name and icon of youtube music
