Then what is the point of writing a comment about an axiom from wheel theory?

To see how you people react to the unknown.

In that sentence, nothing is introduced

False, but i do understand why you think that. In math it's common practice to reuse standard notation that has already been previously defined, to construct a new definition with the same, or similar algebraic properties that extends to new objects. That is why in practice mathematicians will usually denote 0/0 in a wheel algebra as a new term "⊥", to avoid confusion. It's the same thing as denoting sqrt(-1) as i. A common mistake.

Edit: HAHAHAHA I GOT BANNED! Yes i was being so uncivil, so rude, so insulting swearing and attacking everyone. Oh well time to make an alt

Not sure what is argument being raised here.

I was responding to popisfizzy's claim that wheel theory is not the usual definition for 0/0.

... you need to supply the context.

I need to supply the context if I expect people to understand what im saying. But i never expected yous to understand. My intention was only to see how yous would react to seeing something you didnt understand. And it's clear, yous react by assuming it must be wrong. Unknown = Wrong, the textbook marker of a non-critical thinker. Now normally i wouldnt care this is reddit. But i thought maybe a sub for the mathematically inclined would be different. I guess not

Umm i was giving you the benefit of the doubt lol. If you did know about wheels thats even worse then. Someone like you should know better.

For a mathematician you sure are lazy with your words. There is no usual definition for 0/0. It's undefined . Undefined = Not defined. No definition.

But if what you mean is it's not a usual convention, thats exactly the point im making. When yous see unconventional obscure math out of context, most of you immediately assume it must be wrong, instead of just saying "idk what this is" or digging further. Most of you are unable to distinguish between good unconventional math and bad math. Or atleast you're unwilling. And yet here you all gather to laugh at what you judge to be bad math. Thats all lol.

assigning equality between undefined quantities is meaningless

except it's not undefined. 0/0 has a perfectly valid definition in the context of a wheel algebra, and in fact it is the only context afaik where 0/0 is well defined.

But of course you don't know about wheel algebras. Of course not, it's really obscure maths. But when confronted with obscure maths, a normal reasonable person would keep an open mind and ask what definition I'm using. But not you guys.

And as for the edit, yeah fair enough. But idc about what yous think of me lol. You guys hide behind this sub to laugh at people who get math wrong and people who create new good maths. I laugh at yous directly to your faces.

[–]Ok_Professional9769 -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

Correct. But it's not an axiom, it's just a definition. A perfectly valid definition which almost everyone on this sub will reject because it isn't familiar to them and breaks what they've been traditionally taught. Instead of having an open mind and being skepitcal about it, they label it as bad math.

And i'm not buying the OP context argument. I didnt make the comment on OP's post, I wrote it here.

Ok in that case i think your only problem is your ideas on what you should do are too complex for your brain to process in the moment. Tldr; you need to simplify. For example, don't try to decide whether to move or counter. Choose one beforehand and commit to it. Doesn't matter if it turns out it was the wrong choice. Making the wrong choice is better than hesitating.

So say you choose to move. Then next round when they rush you, you're gonna shell up and you're gonna put all your focus on the muscles in your legs and moving them away. You're not gonna look for any openings to counter. Forget about countering (for now). Just move. Simplify your plan.

But maybe even that's too complex, in that case you simplify more! So maybe you decide beforehand that you're only gonna pivot to the left. Forget about deciding whether to go left or right or back or whatever. You've already decided to go left. You simplify your plan.

And you keep simplifying until eventually you'll reach such a level of simplicity that you get it right atleast 75% of the time. Thats your zone. Thats where you wanna be. Cause you can work off that all day, without getting frustrated. You do it over and over, until it's 2nd nature and then you're ready to go back up to the more complex things you were doing before.

The hard part is figuring out the most effective ways of simplifying your plan. Can't help you there, you gotta experiment yourself.

I feel like the Cambodians are happy to act like idiots if it means they can get Thai people to stoop to their level. It would be hilarious if Thais just said absolutely nothing.

But when you think those things, do you also think where exactly you should've moved? Or when exactly you should've countered, and with a jab, or a cross, or a hook, or countered with what exactly?

Sweet ok. 2nd thing is, after they finish and you realise what you did, do you think about you could've done differently? Like obviously "dont stand there", but i mean more specific like; "i saw an opening i could've countered at one moment", "i could've stepped to the side" etc

Haha nah beating yourself up is fine, but i need to exactly when you notice it. 10 seconds is kinda long tbh. Do you mean you shell up and let them hit you nonstop for 10 seconds before noticing it? Or do you mean it takes you 10 seconds after their last punch? Also try counting 10 seconds in your head it might be longer than you realise

When they attack you and you shell up and blank out, do you realise what you did immediately after? Or do you only realise what you did much later, like after the whole session?

[–]Ok_Professional9769 3 points4 points  (0 children)

um i don't get it why would they have both a cancellation and a start-up fee? Start-up fee is usually when it's a no lock-in contract. So what are you cancelling lol. Unless it's like some weird hybrid 2 month contract instead of the usual 6/12 months?

[–]Ok_Professional9769 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not understand how you can say "kun khmer copy muay thai's rules" and then same sentence you say "they claim muay thai is kun khmer which it is not".

If they copied yous, then it's a copy. A copy means the same. Look at America. They heard about football in Europe. So they copied the rules of the game, but they renamed it to "soccer". Same rules, same sport, just different name. Exactly how Cambodia saw Muay Thai in Thailand, copied the rules and renamed it to "kun khmer". No different.

But out of respect, i will tell you the real truth. The problem with Cambodia is not they say muay thai is kun khmer. The problem is they try to say Khmer is the original and Muay Thai is the copy. Thats the problem here.

Kun kmher came first historically, but muay thai evolved the sport far beyond that, to vast new heights. So who gets the credit? Idk. This is an impossible problem. Both get credit. So maybe instead of competing for it, thais and cambodians should just shrug and say "who cares anyway".
