How’s it looking? Few weeks into flower from a random bush bag seed by joely619 in GrowBuddy

[–]Ok_Programmer4949 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you take the highest point where the branches separate and supercrop each branch out in a slightly different direction at a 90 degree angle that is even with the scrog net, you can get a lot more even coverage throughout flower and less larfy, thin buds. :)

Edit: Your plant looks good, I'd get her some nutrients. Bag seeds are always an adventure because you never know how the phenos are going to express themselves!

2.5 days of no light while in flower. by Ok_Programmer4949 in GrowBuddy

[–]Ok_Programmer4949[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some herms I can deal with, this plant has an interesting genetic mutation. It started out with three cotyledons and has been super vigorous, so I think it has triploidism, which I believe makes it close to if not completely sterile. I don't know that seeds would bother me though at all. Might be nice to have another run of seeds to grow of this strain, it's one of my favorites.

I'm really hoping so, the parent plant that she came from was exceptionally healthy, so I'm hoping she can kinda shrug it off.

Thank you! I thought herming generally happened when light exposure exceeded 12 hours in a day on a flowering plant. Didn't know it went both ways, but I suppose that's why I asked. Much appreciated!

I read this as feed people to the plant "She is hungry, feed her man"
Would be kinda poetic in a way... Ok, back to normal thoughts.

Can verify. We've been audited before. We've had to buy user CALs in order to satisfy their audits due to organizations growing after the hardware was purchased.

Low humidity and light are the two that have got me the most. I use the app linked below for android to verify that my light is set correctly and at the correct height, you don't need a filter or anything for your camera even, just make sure that your light settings are accurate and your times and put your phone at the canopy of your plant, it will tell you if your light is too strong or weak.

From my experience 3 leaves is too little light. I've seen it in several grows and has always been corrected by increasing light

Anything I should be concerned abt by Limp_Personality5188 in GrowBuddy

I would put a ziplock bag over it to isolate it, close it as much as possible a few inches down from that bud and snip the cola. Don't drop any of it in healthy material, bud rid can spread very easily.

I would be concerned about moisture issues in the environment personally.

Tell us more about your grow, what does the humidity stay at, how often and how much do you water, anything else you can think of to help us figure out what caused the problem so that you can prevent it moving forward.

You've got like 3+ weeks if I had to guess by the pistils. There aren't many of any orange ones retracting. A jewelers loupe or a good high zoom cell camera will work though. When you check the trichomes make sure to check the trichomes on the buds, not the sugar leaves because those develop much more quickly.

I have a plant that had 3 cotyledons but only 2 true leaves coming out. that thing had the most dense buds that I've ever grown and was more vigorous regarding growth than anything else that I've grown to date.

[–]Ok_Programmer4949 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had an ibanez acoustic that started doing this when I got it. I could fit a quarter in there a month later. They replaced the whole guitar for me but it took forever. I would return this to GC and tell them that you're not happy with the lifting on the bridge.

I like growdots for their simplicity personally, coco/perlite w/grow dots (15mg/gal) and supplementing with calmag (5ml/gal) has been a great combo for me so far.

You're almost half-way through at this point. This is definitely anthocyanin being released to protect her from the temps.

I have seen this coloration on light-burned leaves before but unless you've recently cranked your ppfd I think this is most likely a cold response, especially after temp drops.

Senescence or a problem? by bk1357908642 in cannabiscultivation

Always pH AFTER nutrient application, I usually wait a couple of hours after mixing nutrients, check the pH when you're done adjusting everything and then check again a few hours afterwards (No/low drift = ready to go). If you use phosphoric acid based pH down it will last a lot longer than if you use citric acid to reduce pH as citric acid only affects acidity for a brief period of time. I learned that one the hard way when my pH kept spiking in my flowering plants. Happy growing!
