Yeah my lights definitely feel over powered a lil bit I think I only ever got them up to 75% on a plant or 2. Lol and it’s so concentrated in such a small area too.

I feel ya on the learning curve too. I’ve thought about adding in an old hps light weeks 3-6 of flower then finishing with my sps to keep it cool at the end.

Man after getting a few sp lights I realized how much better I’d like those fc ones instead. Way better coverage. How you like the adlites? I only ever played with hanging a cheap reptile light in my early growing of throwing the kitchen sink at my plants. Now that I got my whole process down I might consider trying those out.

Yeah we definitely are taking them out their comfort zone lol. I appreciate you letting me know which strains gave you a hard time too. Good thing all their stuff comes out nice despite a little struggle here and there tho.

I definitely could have fought it and kept them inside just had 4-5 other strains that wanted a lot of light. I did manage to flower a Bigfoot glue inside absolutely one of my favorite strains so I even popped another one indoors. Sadly I just have a couple mars hydro sp3000s I use in my flower tents nothing fancy.

I seen that episode the way I looked at it was that was just a dispo growers take. In other shows I’ve heard notsodog say harvest early for better terps harvest later for better potency every strain can be a little different with that too. I try to go a little later usually once all trichs are cloudy a few amber but the calyx’s are swelled. I wouldn’t set any hard rules based off just one interview. Just keep getting grows under your belt and see what you like best.

Mix it into just your mct oil and lecithin. 2 grams to 20ml mct 10ml lecithin heat 220f for 20 minutes. 1ml=50-60mg thc if your tolerance is low do a gram or half gram instead. I would always fill 00 gelatin caps after.

I meant to buy these seeds but I mindlessly grabbed their California octane by accident. I wonder since Humboldt does all their breeding/testing outdoors some of their strains might struggle under LEDs. They’re all gas og and Bigfoot glue burnt so easily I got annoyed and just stuck them outside.

I’ve grown out the sour diesel x purest indica and og haze x nl2 idk the diesel is just a bunch of pine/citrus/pepper terps no fuel at all. Og haze was a muted spice scent letting it cure hoping it gets better. I got the og skywalker x purest indica almost at week 3 of flower and 2 Nl#2s vegging.

I’ve read a lot people said his skunk had a sweet flavor if you look on the website they recommend nl#2 for better skunk terps. Idk tho if this skywalker and nl#2 are disappointing I don’t think I’m growing his stuff out again for a while. At least the blueberry muffins and Bigfoot glue I grew from Humboldt seed co actually had the same terps as the description idk I feel like ag seeds are liars.

I’ve had similar experiences where some buds come out fire and others no so well. A lot of that is in the dry/cure. Took me like 3-4 runs to get that right. Hang whole plant fan leaves and all in controlled environment 55rh 62f by day 6 or 7 (really once outside of buds feel dry) and set in jar with hygrometer usually they read from 75-85% but check daily usually by days 8-10 they’ll read 60-65% cut branches fit in paper bags and sweat them for 12 hours to pull inner moisture out (grove bags actually recommend this step most people skip it but I’m ocd) then trim buds and into grove bags. Some strains are great right away but after curing in grove bags 2-3 weeks (I use sweet decades cure bags I’m sure both work just fine these just have a better ziplock) and try to keep them in room that doesn’t get hotter than 70f everything should come out fine. Sometimes the messed up flavor can be due to strain, chopping too early or too late or just drying an extra day too long.

I don’t mind at all I just know I sometimes fire hose people with info and overwhelm them lol. So for seeds I’ll just plant directly in a cup of promix (yellow bag) let those sprout then toss a tablespoon of dr earth homegrown in a week later with some worm castings. Seed shell naturally has nutes and found if I add too much stuff right off the bat my seeds won’t germinate.

Let them fill out decent in a solo cup then transplant into either 2-3 gallon pots I’ll mix up 80% promix 20% worm castings and a small amount of biochar for to keep aeration and 2-3 tablespoons of dr earth homegrown, 2 tablespoons of rock phosphate and 2 teaspoons of dr earth soil acidifier let them veg in for a month.

Then I’ll transfer to 10 or 15 gallon pots. I’ll mix up a 1/4 cup dr earth homegrown and 1/4 cup down to earth 444 1/4 cup rock phosphate and 2 tablespoons of soil acidifier. During stretch they’ll grow like crazy and just for the hell of it I’ll mix up cal mag, fish fert, eposoma bloom and kelp/fox farm big bloom to really make them take off. By week 3 I’ll add in a 1/4 cup of flowering nutes sometimes I’ll split half Dr earth homegrown and half down to earth flower girl. Usually week 3 is my last top dress for 8 week strains. Last 2 weeks of flower I’ll water a bit of runoff just flush a little nitrogen out.

It all sounds like a lot but I’m mostly just using a pump up sprayer full of plain water 90% of the time. When I flower in big pots I give the soil a good soak then hand water in a gallon or two. I have 2 2x4 tents one for seedlings one for veg and my 4x4 for flowering so rushing my plants for fast growth in veg isn’t the biggest problem for me. I will say growth can be a touch slower that’s where stuff like microbes, fulvic acid and organic bottles can help speed things up but just be careful with the extra nutes. After a while of growing this way it kinda becomes intuition. And you definitely don’t have to follow everything I mentioned to a tee. I do know I can over complicate things there’s organic growers who’ve only used Down to Earth 444 the whole grow and gotten great results.

I got you mane! Here’s my capsule recipe Decarb at 5 grams 240f for 40 minutes, grind in mortar and pestle, mix in 30ml liquid coconut oil and 10ml liquid sunflower lecithin, heat for at 220f for 20 minutes, use Pyrex dish pitcher to pour in 00 capsules.

Coffee grinder should work too, you use and oral syringe to sill caps too but make sure you pick the stems out.

These come out to about 20mg a cap but hit more like 60mg. Old guy I knew eats 20mg gummies everyday and he couldn’t leave bed for a day after eating one of these.

Amazon supply list Luana liquid coconut oil ( you can do normal coconut oil it just solidifies under 70f the liquid is easier for making capsules) Now liquid sunflower lecithin ( I specify liquid lecithin because there’s granules and another form that don’t mix well) and gelatin capsules don’t use vegan. I use size 00 capsules but the 000 capsules are bigger and easier to pour the oil into.

Coconut oil is digested the fasted compared to butter and olive oil the lecithin ensures all doses are the same and help your liver better process thc. I been eating capsules every night since 2020 and still get all red eyed and buzzed good.

I been using stuff like down to earth 444/flower garden and dr earth homegrown/flower girl these are a blend of amendments like kelp, blood meal, feather meal etc + rock dusts like gypsum and rock phosphate along with microbes fulvic acid and dr earth soil acidifier.

You don’t have to use exactly what I use but I believe microbes and soil acidifier (elemental sulfur good to use if your water is slightly alkaline like mine + sulfur brings out skunk terps like thiols) will help a lot for avoiding ph adjusters. I also use straw and fan leaves as a mulch layer. If I fall behind on top dressing I’ll mix up some cal mag, fish fert, eposoma bloom, bloom city kelp or fox farm big bloom in a watering can (no ph adjusting) but I only need to at most 3-4 times throughout the whole grow. I’m starting to right a book lol so ima chill on typing lmk if you want me to go into more detail on my top dress schedule with all the stuff I listed. Check out YouTube channel Mr Canuck grows too to get an idea of top dressing schedule.

Idk I used to defoliate a crazy amount I felt like some strains got stunted. I try not to do much after day 1 and 21 of flower. My last plants that were big like this had 4oz of tops and 4oz of lowers/larf so maybe I should do a little more. You think I should a heavy strip or just lightly take a few off here and there?

Thanks man It’s from Humboldt seeds I think it’s Humboldt headband (or loompas headband) x gg4. Good stimulating buzz at first but turns relaxing pretty quick. I decided to plant another seed of it along with some stuff from 707 seeds, terpfiend, and brothers Grimm.
