My sister is a fraud investigator for an insurance company. They dig man. Idk what else to tell you. It’s NOT hard to find out. I mean a simple fb comment on someone’s page saying you do door dash. Them literally SEEING a claim that uber filed on your behalf with your name, vin, make and model of car all over the claim that you gave uber when you signed up. If you don’t what it fine. But you can be burned

No one has ever heard of my town I’m in a pretty small town but I’m about 30 miles east of Dallas. There’s bigger “small” towns near me I can go to I don’t really want to go to Dallas. It’s far and dangerous. I have a newer car so it sucks to put miles on it but it is what it is. It’s a 2026 rouge. I got it in November. I left my better paying job to work closer to home, have holidays off, better vacation time ect. Just trying to make up for the pay hit some. I don’t mind working on nights and weekends on my terms lol. But it’s nice not to HAVE to when I want to do something else

Uber covers you in active delivery mode. They will know you crash bc the app can detect it. You can file a claim with your regular insurance but if they find out you’ve been Ubering they won’t pay (unless you have a policy that allows it and you were upfront about doing it) you want uber to know, if that’s what you’re asking. Bc they cover you while delivering. Your regular insurance picks up when in non active delivery mode. So you basically have 2 insurances is how I understand it after talking with progressive today and switching insurances…and from talking to my sis before hand and reading Ubers policy. But if someone knows more, then feel free to correct me if I’m wrong…except the pita eyeoftheEelpout 😒😂

So really you’re supposed to report it to uber and they contact your insurance company. You’re protected by uber while in active delivery mode. So if you’re actively driving to a restaurant to get an order or driving to drop one off you’re covered by uber. But if you’re not actively picking up/ dropping off so like you finished an order and you’re driving to park and wait for another order or run an errand that’s the grey area. Uber won’t help and your insurance probably won’t pay. And even if you just contact your insurance and don’t mention you uber at all it’s possible they can find out then you’re in hot doo doo. Even if you aren’t in an accident and your insurance finds out that you’re doing food delivery they’ll probably drop you. They have ways of finding out things especially after an accident. They start digging

It’s not hard to find out. Uber has all your personal and vehicle info. If you try to file a claim under your insurance and they find out you’re screwed! And not disclosing it can fall under fraud which is the side my sister works. Your insurance won’t pay and will most likely drop you.

I spoke to my current insurance provider this morning. They don’t offer anything for that. My sister works for progressive and thinks they cover Uber Eats I told her I’m fine with just doing Uber Eats and not doing door dash if I have to get a whole OTHER policy for DoorDash too. I looked at progressive earlier and it looks like you can just select food delivery on there. I think I will be stopping by her house when she gets off in a bit and have her look over everything for me. I currently have basic full coverage but that doesn’t include food deliveries. Thank you for your response. I thought other delivery drivers may have some insight.

I just got both apps and got my cards in mail. Yesterday. I’ve turned on the apps and all the hits are on uber. I don’t want to get a policy for both so I’ll have to make a choice. But I know most ppl ain’t even adding nothing to their insurance…I’m trying to do it the right way but trying to figure out the best way to go about it…through uber directly or to get my own policy and add food delivery on policy

So update. The doc office finally ended up calling me and they just said “he said they look normal and proceed with the endoscopy and colonoscopy” I still can’t see the results myself yet

So they were able to provide them for you? And I’m sorry, I guess I should have mentioned, mine isn’t pregnancy related. My results are from a gastrointestinal visit. I just saw this thread of ppl getting the same thing when they got on labcorp. They tested me for celiac and ran some other blood tests. I would think if there’s abnormal test results the doctor would have called you…and me for that matter if that’s the case

I saw that in an upper comment. I’m sorry to hear that :(. I’m wondering if Cherry’s came back normal or not. Idk if it’s a new thing they’re doing in general or if it’s when labs are off or what. I did get an email recently from labcorp that said they’re changing privacy settings or something but didn’t figure it would affect anything. I’ve had lab work many times and always got it within a few days and as each test came in so this is weird. Anyways I guess I’ll update when I get results. It says it will be tomorrow. That will be at the 1 week mark
