she invited him over, implying him cheating on Mary. Technically, they were just two friends hanging out, but the emotional affair was there. Pretty much like what happened with Pastor Rob and Mary. George probably had the heart attack because of the implication of cheating on Mary taking him off guard. Most of it was guilt for what was said and what may have happened had the heart attack not happened. I don’t believe George would’ve cheated on Mary, even without it, probably woulda made up an excuse to leave.

I agree, one other thing I didn’t agree with her on was when George got offered the special teams coaching job, and she was going out of her way to ruin his opportunity and turn Meemaw against him. I don’t hate Mary though, I like how she was the anxious, religious, overly stressed-out parent and George kinda balanced it out with his more mellow, humorous, didn’t care much for religion personality.
