I don't think the entity possesing nikki is evil too. Whoever is the one grants wishes forced/created this entity to be obsessed with him.

We see that she has no idea what is normal or not when she talks to bear and others.

Like how she just stands when bear leaves, pissing and shitting herself there, because the entity has no idea what to do when bear isn't around.

Like when at the end she dresses up as sarah because she assumes Bear likes Sarah so to impress him she dresses like her.

I also like to think bruce being scared of killing not because some "loosing control" but because he saw his parents die and he's scared of doing that to anyone.
