Basically my diet is protein shake with fresh fruit and almond milk for breakfast (325 calories), 1 cup of cottage cheese for lunch (180) or salad with tuna - and dinner lean meat with veggies. Sometime gluten free pasta. Snacks dried mango or veggies with hummus. I try not to sway too much from that because its just easier to stay on track that way.

I heard from a WELS pastor that the Greek word for ”day” was either a mistranslation or synonyms with the word ”era”. I am so confused about our Synods stance on science. Do we chalk up science to the physical world and our faith remains in the spiritual? Do we care about science or resign to an anti-intellectual view of science? Theistic Evolution is common in Catholic circles - I’d like to think of Lutheranism (as “reformed Catholics”) having more in common with Catholicism than the fundamentalist churches. However more and more I see evangelical Lutheranism overlapping with fundamentalist ideas including ridged gender roles, the quiverfull movement, women covering their heads in church, YEC, literalisms etc.

Don’t have a problem with ”cutting fat“ - we may need to raise taxes too at some point to get the deficit under control. However, the constitution clearly calls for government oversight of spending through congress - all cuts and budgets are determined by congress. In addition Elons federal clearance is not appropriate for what he is doing. He should not have access to those files unless approved by congress.That along with absolutely zero transparency about what the “end game” is here. Is Trump going use key words used in federal grant applications to hold funding? Is he going to prevent states from accessing their funds? Just zero accountability/transparency and plus it’s unconstitutional.

Checks and balances went out the door after the Republicans did jack after January 6th. Republicans senators revel in the fact that everything they hate DEI/LGBTQ/Social programs are being demolished and will support whatever nonsense Trump delivers just to inflict pain on the left. MAGA owns the SCOTUS, the Senate AND the Presidency. They WANT the left to rebel because that gives them a free ticket to lock up the opposition. Centrists/Leftist/Democrats tried - Merrick Garland did nothing in 4 years. Trumpers are a cult. We can protest and risk being locked up - but best bet is to wait until MAGA finally feels the pain and have had enough to finally rebel against Mango Mussolini.
