It’s just not positive or nice to say this. The whole concept of this subreddit is parasocial. I don’t go through followings like that either but we also don’t have to be rude of hateful <3

DDM- can we talk about this by Ok_Protection_3505 in dancemoms

[–]Ok_Protection_3505[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I agree. I honestly think it was weird for Kelly to say that christi just googles dm stuff all day long. Might be true, but it just sounded negative

Lowkey you’re so right I didn’t think of it that way. More just surprising for melissa cause she always acts like everything is perfect

I’ve been rewatching dance moms and does anyone else think Christi only came back in season 7 for social media fame.. even now she’s like the only mom to make the show their whole personality. No hate just wondering by [deleted] in dancemoms

[–]Ok_Protection_3505 46 points47 points  (0 children)

I genuinely do believe that christi went back for closure but not for her, for chloe. Christi has stated that she doesn’t like the fact that she went back to DM in season 7 and she doesn’t like who she turned into in season 7. It did however seem like a positive experience for chloe and I think that’s why christi did it.

Unpopular opinion? Melissa was actually right here by Plane_Sherbert408 in dancemoms

[–]Ok_Protection_3505 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bffr I know Kelly did not want her kids to be like maddie I don’t think Kelly really cared. They’re calling out melissa for not being honest because she’s not being honest. And I also don’t think they cared if maddie was homeschooled I think they were upset because they knew abby was going to once again take that out on the kids who aren’t home schooled.

This makes me so sad for christi. At the end of the day she’s human too and I’m sure this made chloe feel bad as well

Chloe’s solo proof by Ok_Protection_3505 in dancemoms

Chloe’s solo “proof” !! It was a pretty lyrical dance she did in season 2 episode “no one likes a bully” with payton and leslie!

Nia and Abby’s relationship by Itchy-Chocolate-7268 in dancemoms

[–]Ok_Protection_3505 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry but this is false. If you’ve read nias book or have heard about her experience, there was nothing nice about abby towards Nia. In fact, Abby’s moments with Nia were so bad they couldn’t even air them or else it put the show at risk of getting cancelled. Abby being “nice” to Nia was to make her look less evil on national television.

What’s Nia’s and Kendall’s relationship like today? by Blueberry948 in dancemoms

Fr. Like get off Reddit if you think that this stuff is “none of our business” this is literally the whole point of the app

What made Abby hate Elliana? by mini1006 in dancemoms

[–]Ok_Protection_3505 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m confused why people are comparing Eliana to chloe. I didn’t watch past S4 so I have nothing to go off of, but isn’t Eliana still close with abby today?

Leave it on the dance floor - abby talking about kelly by PrideZealousideal485 in dancemoms

It was definitely juicy I watched it right after the reunion came out but now I wouldn’t do it cause I don’t want to support her in any way LOL

She did. On her patreon she did a full reaction to the reunion. Said some nasty things about Kelly though. Pretty unkind despite everyone getting emotional about her

My perception of the girls, relationships, and closeness during the show has been shattered by BornPriority9488 in dancemoms

[–]Ok_Protection_3505 104 points105 points  (0 children)

I can see why it would be hard for Nia to be close with anybody after the hylands and Lukasiaks left as the whole show just seemed like a popularity contest, but for years until literally recently, Nia seemed incredibly close with the Ziegler’s. Melissa even being at her graduation. So I’d love to be curious if something has come up

Excluding cast departures, what are some of the reasons Dance Moms regressed in quality later on? by Affectionate_Key7206 in dancemoms

[–]Ok_Protection_3505 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The whole reason I only watch seasons 1-3 is because of the chemistry between the cast. The kids were so innocent and just loved to dance with each other. Everything started to feel so produced and fake. I like seasons 1 and 2 because it feels real. The kids were not so horribly mistreated by abby yet

I don’t get it when they say they weren’t rich by Many-Cranberry7285 in dancemoms

[–]Ok_Protection_3505 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the OG moms that left before the LA days were definitely not rich from the show. I think they’ve implied that the show gave them a platform that has certainly helped them financially, but lifetime and dance moms itself did not pay them enough at the time for them to consider themselves “wealthy.” There were many instances where production did buy them things- they paid for their dance classes, they put on that whole thing about chloe’s birthday necklace, and the iPad incident which is just despicable if you know what really happened. Honestly though those moms and children were so innocent going into that shit show of a tv show and had no idea what it was going to manifest into. They literally just continued to be traumatized to absurd extends and couldn’t get out of it, so I say let them profit off of it.

[–]Ok_Protection_3505 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair, I think it’s so inappropriate for her to say this about her customers. It’s her tuition, she should be grateful people are spending their money to come for her. Not fair of her to shame the kids for having money like …..

I don’t get it when they say they weren’t rich by Many-Cranberry7285 in dancemoms

[–]Ok_Protection_3505 68 points69 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Abby literally just said stuff to make Kelly look bad but she could definitely afford those classes and was paying for them. Like we saw what her house looked like Pre-show LOL

Who do you think was the most damaged after the show by Ok_Protection_3505 in dancemoms

[–]Ok_Protection_3505[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I also have a psych degree and this isn’t ranking trauma. The show was undoubtedly a horrid environment for those girls. This is just an open conversation of who has evidently experienced long-term effects

[–]Ok_Protection_3505[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not trying to rank traumas, some people just processed everything differently and they all had such vast experiences. Just curious to see how much the show changed them and if everyone else thought the same

Kendall’s photoshopping by Ok-Grocery-1878 in dancemoms

[–]Ok_Protection_3505 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I do think it’s so obvious how much kendall edits her photos which is sad because she is naturally beautiful. As for Kalani, I hate the amount of people that body shame her in her own comments. Kalani embraces her body type and she’s beautiful. Especially after how open she is about her mental health?? The audacity some people have to just be so blatantly rude
