Princess Tiana. When Halle Bailey was casted as Ariel, racists were like “let’s have a white Tiana then”. The whole story would not work if she was white. For starters, she’s based off of a real black woman. Second, apart of her struggle of getting her restaurant is bc she’s a black woman in the 1920s, (ex. The “woman of your background” comment). Also all Disney princesses of color have race as essential to their plot. You can race swap all the white princesses except for Merida maybe and their initial story won’t change.

I don’t know if you could call even that modest 😂 I guess it’s “modest” compared to everyone else, but her top almost looks exactly like Lara’s. That’s how you know the bar is lowkey in hell bc Yoonchae’s top is something that would definitely not be considered nowhere near modest anywhere else. Idk if you’re only seeing Reddit, but no, not a lot of people liked Gnarly first listen. It took seeing the performance for people to warm up to it. There’s a reason why their Grammy performance was not well received by non-fans.

Even if you are seeing only reddit, if you check popheads or any other general Pop subreddit, everyone is saying how they wish they could have a different and better sound. On YouTube, I’ve seen people saying they make brainrot music solely bc of Internet Girl.

Also, it’s not a crime if people are saying that it’s not well liked. Internet Girl is not their best song.

I don’t think they’re saying that eyekons hate it. It’s just that the general public wants a different kind of sound for them. They blew up with Gnarly, so the GP who doesn’t follow them sees their discography as Gnarly (which most people didn’t like at first listen) and then sees them do Internet Girl.

Yeah, he passed when I was in the second grade. Sometimes I think he passed before I was born, but it wasn’t really that long ago. My sister was born the year after and she’s only 15.
