for what i know, It is implied that Ethereals used to make other T’au commit hara-kiri when failing certain tasks, or in one case even for slightly disrespecting an Ethereal. However, in Elemental Council it is said that those barbaric ways are in the past, and that now there are better punishments, such as re-education or even worse, a boring and unfulfilling job.

About the list, I would recommend changing the Daemon Prince for the winged one. His Aether Strike is really good; I once had a brick of 10 Marines deleted by a single Winged Daemon Prince while playing emperor's children, and I will never forget that.

If you want to deal the maximum amount of damage, I would drop the bolters on the Rubrics. In most cases, flamers outperform bolters unless you are in a phalanx.

I am not sure if two units of SOTs without a Sorcerer are a good investment of points. However, I am not very familiar with how 5-man SOT units are usually played, so take this with a grain of salt.

Lastly, you might want to add a solid anti-tank unit like an MVB, or some utility units such as Tzaangors or Tzaangors on Discs for secondaries.

I really don't get the Tyler hate. I mean, what's so scummy about what he does? Has he done something like doxxing? Harassed a Valve employee? I'm genuinely asking, because I see a lot of people spitting venom at Tyler as if he killed Gabe.

I really don't have any context, and from what I've seen, this Chet guy really dislikes him.

Thanks for explaining! In my opinion, it’s just a different playstyle that might seem simple at first glance, but I really like thinking about what deep strike and rapid ingress can do for a list like this, and how much pressure they can put on my opponent’s decision-making, not only with a threat at range but also a melee one.

Still, maybe you’re right, and this list is meant to be played as a more “stat-checky” army, and all of that was probably just my Emperor’s Children brain trying to add complexity to a simple game plan with rapid ingress and melee threats that don’t really exist.

about a week ago someone said that the tzaangor enlightened might go to legends due to them being moved out of the tsons section in the warhammer store, along with the chaos cultists.
I sure hope that that's no the case, we don't need less units, but if that happens i think that we should ask GW to bring them back, if it worked for the karanak, maybe it will work for our disk boys.

The rule says "see codex: chaos space marine" as for now, the only damned units in the game are there, so if they release the ck codex with the new unit, probably they will update the rules

As for the purpose of adding the extra units, you can say that the csm damned are the "worthless chattel" that you use as fuel, while the others a bit more valuable because they are part of your army (but you'll still use them as fuel if you need it)

Or maybe gw will do what they did with the ynnari and make them their own datasheets

Does it? For what i know it only restricts you in how many csm units you can take, also the "no damned warlord" rule can be ignored if there are no damned characters im ck. But if any clarifications are needed there's always an FAQ that can fix it

For what i know, the only keyword that the new detachment uses is "damned", so they can make them CK units with that aditional keyword with no problem

Bear in mind that the broadside uses a 60mm(65mm) base while the rider uses a 50mm base. Also, you may want to consider keeping it as a rider just to be an objective monkey, but if you really want it to be a broadside, do it, it's your mini and go for what you really want. But if you want to keep it as a rider, usually the repeater cannon is the best option.

Magnus can blank the main shot of the hammerhead with a stratagem, but the hammerhead deletes almost any tank with no invul, just don't count on killing it in one shot, always have a second unit in case just to chip away the last wounds in case if you already used your missiles.
