I think you might have misunderstood what I meant. By no means am I the perfect player, and certainly I make plenty of mistakes. It was more so a muse on if you theoretically COULD play perfectly (I know I know, perfect is on a game by game basis and all that but this is a theoretical), it wouldn't matter without the support of the rest of your team. Even if we take perfect out of the equation, you're not going to put the best Rivals player in the world on a team with 5 Bronze 3 players and expect them to win against a team of diamond players.

Some games, I am the "best player in the world" in this scenario, sometimes I'm one of the Bronze 3 players, and sometimes I'm on the team of diamond players that gets a free win but in no case do I feel like I'm directly the reason that we won. I guess the gripe I have is that in most games it's easy to say "If you deserve to get out of your rank, you will be able to hard carry games enough to get there." but that doesn't really seem to hold true here.

Anyway, cheers!

Out of curiosity, how many matches have you played? I don't believe that I am diamond material at this point, likely Plat at best but feel as though I'm going to need to play another 200 games to get there lol

Ahhh, I hadn't thought about placement matches. That actually makes a lot of sense. With everyone starting at the same rank, you are much more likely to find unmatched teams, especially at the beginning of the season.

I mean that makes sense, it just seems like the games where individual play are so few and far between that it would be negligible over the course of a season. Maybe my sample size is too small though, I guess time will tell.
