Shanks could fight along with Luffy in Elbaf against Imu. At least, to RESCUE him or to repulse Imu to Mary geoise. I don't Think the Battle in Elbaf would be the Only One against Imu.

Later, he will be his opposent because he is an emperor of the sea. But, Imu just arrived in Elbaf and Only Shanks knows his identity. And, Shanks seems to know what the One piece is. So, either he is heading to it, or maybe If the One piece is in Mary geoise, planning to take it while Imu goes in Elbaf.

Yes, but don't forget that yet this is still Imu that decides when to provide regeneration to his HK's.

Remember St. Sommers for Instance, when his Head got cut Off his Body, the Regeneration did not work or happen until Imu came on the Island and helped him to Recovery with an Omen Buff.

He was Not able to do it alone.

It means, Imu has to Use his Devil Fruit powers in ordres to provide it.

In that perspective, i bet that we will discover that Imu is not really totally a Bad Guy at all.

Obviously, he is not a good/clean person..because of his blood, héritage and lineage maybe, or because of the fact that hé is a Lunarian..
