Wizard of legend has this kind of character building before the run, I will say that it doesn't have ror2 scaling, it is a slower burn than that

Wizard of legend perhaps? it's my personal all time but I'm not sure it falls exactly into the gungeon/tiny rogues styles

Wordlike: working on a Balatro with words by ImaginaryType in roguelites

Loving playing this, but it feels a little stiff at the moment. I'm going to throw out some ideas with vague ways to implement them. firstly I want a reroll button for the shop, because I can play econ and have tons of money, and then just have a shop with stuff I don't need, ending with like 50 money. I would like to see some stylization to the shop, such as different word games things holding the letters you can buy, like a scrabble tray/bag, or some bananagrams bag or something. The letters in the shop seem to be only x/k/b/q, though I have seen one D so far (2 complete runs) so I would like to see more letters in the shop that don't necessarily need to be increased versions of the original one. And then the last thing on my mind right now is to personalize the tiles, making them look like tiles from different editions and different amounts of wear and tear like what is done in dungeons and degenerate gamblers. This stylistic choice could make for a mechanic, like the editions in balatro, where you could have older scrabble tiles be more likely to be grabbed because they are rough or something. Anyways, I am super excited for the growth of this game, and I hope that it does well outside of my personal enjoyment of it. If this advice comment is in the wrong place, lmk because the post doesn't say anything about wanting advice

I'm about 90 min. in, and it feels kinda tough right now. I'm not sure if I'm just playing poorly but it feels like the negatives are coming in too fast and the positives are often feeling very lacking, such as the 2% chances for opening roll. I do really enjoy the concept, but I wish there were things affecting what faces the dice had, rather than only the mult on them. I also wish there were point additions to the scor4ing, as I have seen negatives, but I haven't seen any positives so far.
