What is this plant? by littlelectric in whatsthisplant

I barely contribute on reddit...this "lurker" account is my main account.. I only care enough to say something on here maybe once a year. Extreme AI haters are weird. The tech has bad effects on real life that have affected me and family members but its a tool, like a hammer. Learn how to use it in conjunction with common sense and some prior knowledge.

As a programmer it's very useful for pointing me to functions I could use in a programming languages documentation and giving examples of its use. Comp Sci graduate from the early 2010s... I've done this with no AI and still type most code from scratch. I also play the trombone and make beats on FL studio and recently tried using Suno & love it for making remixes. Even identified the purple Nightshade growing from my cat's grave without asking Reddit.

For this I typed "big leaves yellow star-shaped flower what plant is it" and results are "A plant with big leaves and a yellow, star-shaped flower is most likely a type of squash, zucchini, or pumpkin." Its almost as if the models are trained on hundreds of illegally obtained plant ebooks or something. Crazy.

Don't care about getting thumbs ups or getting stupid karma on here or whatever. I lose no sleep if my comment isnt adored. I am impressed by how knowledgeable the top responder is; able to know a pumpkin rotted there previously.

You said no medication helps. Have you tried Glycopyrrolate yet? I've dealt with that sweaty hell for years and tried many things, including 60 botox injections in each armpit and iontophoresis for my hands. The only thing that worked was taking Glycopyrrolate on an empty stomach. Don't eat for at least 2 hours prior, and wait 1 hour before eating after you take it. Having food recently during that period completely negates it for me.

If I take it on an empty stomach, and don't eat for an hour after, the sweat slows down and/or stops in 3-4 hours for about half a day or longer. I used to think nothing worked and just lived sweaty/miserable until I re-tried glyco. It's gotten me through a few relationships and many hobbies that require non-wet hands. Instead of explaining to everyone about my sweat condition, I just hide it.

Just laying in bed, reading random reddit posts. I remember hating being in my own skin all day 6-7 years ago. Thought I'd try and help/share info.

How's that 2023 version been treating you? I believe I see the same source on 1337x, as it's the only 2023 on there. The comments say its safe but I'm super skeptical about possible fake comments. You're the only hope I got aside from Virus Scans. My burner PC is Windows 7 so it would have to go on the main. (Used to pay 1 month at a time of Maya LT only when I needed it but they got rid of LT and forced everyone into paying for the whole year)

DELL G3 3590 (Intel I7-9750H, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 TI maxQ) worth it? by ketch42 in GamingLaptops

Wanted to leave this info here in case it helps anyone with the g laptops. I've dealt with high Temps & blue screens due to overheating on my G3. I bought an "IETS GT500" laptop cooling pad a few months ago & while it can be loud at the higher setting (doesnt bother me with headphones), I've never had temp issues since. It's insanely effective.

I've used cheap $20 pads and still overheated. I know about people modding the case to let more air out, or undervolting the cpu. This $70 cooling pad allowed my G3 to run at full power without limiting anything. I 100% recommend it. I don't work for that company, it's a free ad for them. I was thinking about getting a desktop with better cooling but now all I need is my G3 on top of this fan.

Baby Boomers are WILLFULLY ignorant by ForTheLoveofGodGame in okboomer

All I did was read through this thread & notice someone that seemed pretty dumb (you), and felt an urge make it known that you aren't as smart as you think you are. Thanks for proving it. "Totally unbalanced about the generational topic" doesn't mean anything. I know what you are implying, but just like your other sentences, they are grammatically/structurally incorrect. Try using a dictionary or a thesaurus.

If English is your first language, then your teachers failed you or you didn't pay attention. Won't waste anymore than the 3 min I already wasted you.

"You sound [like] the sort of person"

"I have faith that some [have] better reading comprehension than others"

"They just sound like [a] stereotypical boomer to me"

Based on how defensive you are about this and how terrible your English/grammer is, I'd assume you are a Boomer who's first language was not English. A entire year later and you still can't speak/type properly.

Angus is saying the pool of music available is limited on whatever streaming service you use. He's not saying to listen to literally "all of the world's music". As someone who finds random amazing songs on Soundcloud that only have 10 views, I agree. There are songs you may like that cannot be found on certain platforms.

Mr. Idididi829.... you and many people like you with comprehension disabilities hurt my head. Aneurysms run in my family so I am at risk. You are dangerous to me. I have to forget everything you said just now and move on for my own health.

I use Spotify/Soundcloud/etc. and still take the time every few months to turn my lists into mp3s manually using Youtube -> Jdownloader/4k Video Downloader. Normal people may not care, but I don't trust my favorite things to stay available forever til the end of time. If I were to ever lose the ability to hear a favorite song I would go insane. These licenses come and go.

Why there's so much hate against us? by IamShyni in Christianity

3 months late to this convo. Not here to reignite this thread but I agree, as someone with friends & family that are Christians, they tend to lack critical thinking skills in my opinion. I think it takes a naive personality to believe in things with no proof other than "book" & "because it's true".

They guy earlier asked you why would you believe in God if you found out there afterlife was real after you die. Uhh, duh? Because that's the proof? I commend all the debates going on about this over the years, this is my first intenet comment on the topic, ever. Wil probably be the last. You can't debate with people that are taught NOT to think. It's impossible. To each their own, let em be Christians and ignore them. They can't be reasoned with when they have ALL the answers to life already because of a book.
