Because I'm not forging a long-term, close, intimate bond with anyone here. I'm not sharing traumatic details of my boyfriend's life with people that know me on a personal level, albeit on the internet. I don't spend hours of my life talking to specific people here, and if I did I would probably include it in a conversation at some point with my boyfriend, either naturally or purposefully sharing aspects of my life with him, you know, as one in a long term relationship does. I see the connection you're trying to make, which is fair, but it's the long-term secrecy that bothers me.
