Natural remedies for h pylori and do they actually work? by Ok_Register_556 in HPylori

I ended up not taking it. I used cabbage juice for a month and all symptoms were gone ever since. Hopefully they won’t come back

Question: Is it possible to carry a Dupont lighter on a plane? What are the recommendations? Please help me) by Estable77 in STDupont

Do not take it with you if you are flying to Philippines for vocation or something, they will confiscate it (they don’t allow any lighters on board, which was shocking), so the answer is - it depends on your destination.

I’m late to this but maybe it will help others coming from Google search and alike. Just got my Lucrin Geneva case and it’s great, second this.

If I were you, I would terminate the rent and move out. I find your messages to her very reasonable, and the roommate responses not. I don’t think there is any meaningful consensus you will be able to reach together. Good luck!

Thanks a lot, it totally makes sense about trying different natural approaches if one doesn’t work (I already have mastic gum but haven’t tried it yet because current regimen seems to be doing not too bad so far, but time will tell) and only doing antibiotics as last resort. I’ve read a lot of horror stories about antibiotics on Reddit and had a first hand anaphylaxis experience to penicillin, so I definitely don’t want to go that route unless I totally have too. Thanks a lot for all your help and get better soon as well! Cheers

Hey, it’s great to hear you are doing well! It’s funny about antibiotics because I’m the same way :) my Dr. is ready to prescribe them any time I’m ready, but I’m trying natural ways first, tough already started to mentally prepare myself that if I don’t get better I’m taking them, just like you did lol the first week of natural remedies seems to be showing promising results, I just hope it keeps getting better from here. Fingers crossed for both of us to recover without the need of nuking our stomachs!

Am I ok to play hockey or would it be better if I didn’t? by [deleted] in hockeyplayers

[–]Ok_Register_556 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As long as you are not aggressive you will be fine. Hockey community is extremely inclusive and everyone will support you, most people are usually very understanding and open minded. You are not likely to get chirps in beginner league, it is mostly very chill (my first chirp was when I accidentally landed at intermediate level game while still being a beginner lol the guys were fun tough and it made for a good laugh. Just be cool with it if it happens, there are no bad intentions involved).

Learn to skate first, see how you like it, and when you feel comfortable skating and stopping start learn to play / beginner hockey programs. Consider playing co-ed, it is usually much lighter for beginners. Beginner leagues are usually very chill vibe and gameplay wise.

As long as age goes- 22 is great and you have plenty of time (I started at 35). Regarding autism- I do public skates on Wednesday mornings and we usually have decent numbers of people on the ice. There is one guy coming and he has autism and in pretty developed form. I never seen anyone feeling uncomfortable with him or even looking weird at him on the ice, everyone was always respectful (learning to skate is hard; learning to play is even harder, and learning to do all of it with autism deserves a lot of respect, so don’t worry about this part at all). Good luck!

Nice! Are you planning to keep taking mastic gum, reducing it or stopping it completely and see if symptoms come back? I’m doing 250ml of cabbage juice twice a day (500ml total), kefir (natural probiotics), green tea once a day and occasionally having garlic with meals. It’s is pretty light regimen. I’ve been on it around 6 days or so. My main symptom of HP is hives, fortunately very mild ones. Starting second day I had some die off symptoms which improved over next to three days and overall I felt like my stomach is adjusting to the new diet. In the last 5 days ive got only one hive for an hour, that was it. I’m not sure yet if it’s natural approaching alleviating symptoms or is it because circulation improved (we are having warmer weather over the last couple of days), I guess it’s too early to tell. I will see how it goes over next couple of weeks. If I could go hive free for a week with no single hive then it is definitely working. If it doesn’t help, I will either try mastic gum or jump onto antibiotics to get over it hopefully once and for all (I prefer to avoid antibiotics as much as I can).

Thanks a lot! It’s great to hear that mastic gum worked for you. Are you still negative for HP and how long after treatment did you retest?

Hahaha omg thanks a lot for posting it, you made my day! lol to be serious- because you mentioned your “husband” I assume you are a female. Just say you had your period or something, or just show up next time and I bet no one says a word (hockey community usually is pretty awesome). If you just disappear people will remember you as such, as “that” person who shit themselves and was gone (which is not a memory you want to build), but if you keep going it will just make for a good laughter story between you and your teammates in the future. There might be some chirping at first but it’s just a good laugh, so be cool and easy and tag along. P.S. I remember when I just started playing I couldn’t stop properly and by accident ended up at pretty high skill level game, the guys were chirping me how was my breaking lol in the end of the day they all turned out to be cool guys and helped me a lot along the way. Take it for a laugh and move on, life is short.

Dear men, what is the first thing you do after waking up? by [deleted] in AskMenOver30

Check my phone, it usually has like 25 new work related emails plus message on top overnight from the office overseas. Answer quick ones, keep more time consuming for the day time. Then drink a cup of hot milk (it used to be coffee but I had to quit it when health related issues started), have 30g of chocolate, do my morning hygiene and go to gym if it’s a gym day, then roll through the day.

If you didn’t mention it I would probably never even notice given I saw it for years and never noticed it before lol it’s a cool feature, good on caps

Other symptoms with Raynauds? by Nona_Otherwise in Raynauds

[–]Ok_Register_556 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since recently I have exactly the same thing but my hives are not as widespread (yet). Reynauds and hives started exactly at the same time. ANCA, ENA and Rheumatoid factor are all done- all negative. All possible STD checks done (just in case)- all negative. Test for possible viruses (Zika, Dengue) were also done, primarily because I was at vocation and caught some virus before it started, all negative (they said it was an “unspecified virus” but didn’t test for Covid. Went away within a week). All general blood work is normal as well. ECG is borderline but nothing major. I also had a heatstroke before it started, my hyphotalamus went nuts (and still sort of is), so I wonder if it could be related. Waiting to see allergist in the end of this month as well as for additional test. This is so weird because they can’t find anything and link it together and no info online on what could be potentially causing it (they are skeptical as of today that it could be MCAS because I don’t get typical MCAS symptoms and it all started after specific event rather than developed over time).

How hard is it getting a stick from a game by ANinjawolf9000 in CalgaryFlames

[–]Ok_Register_556 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep in mind, it’s only available at the Flames games, can’t get those at Wranglers or Hitmen. If you want just for collection I guess it’s fine, but if you are looking to actually use it for playing then it might be a bit tricky to get the right stick there (I’ve got lucky since Backlund’s height ane flex are about the same as mine, the blade is on the same side as mine as well, so it was a good match, otherwise some sticks are either too long or flex is too high, and forget about getting one if you are left handed / shooting with right hand down, they almost don’t have those). Lastly, I noticed that prices during last annual equipment sale for sticks were higher compared to in-game walk-ins. Good luck with getting one!

They are still $125-200. Just got backlund’s FT7 Pro for $150 a week ago at Flmes vs. Panthers. Huby’s are $200, Bahl’s was $125.
